His dedication to explaining the details was noteworthy. While the store boasts reasonable pricing for their furniture, I did encounter a few minor issues during my shopping journey. The owner and manager displayed a degree of pushiness in trying to close the sale, which made the purchasing experience somewhat uncomfortable. However, I do acknowledge that their efforts were likely driven by a desire to offer the best deals to customers. On the delivery front, I encountered a delay of more than two weeks for my sectional sofa set to arrive. While this might be considered standard for such a purchase, I had placed the order well in advance and was prepared for a wait. The delayed delivery was ultimately a minor inconvenience, and I was pleased to see my new furniture arrive in impeccable condition. However, a more substantial challenge arose when one section of the sectional proved to be too large to fit through my apartment door. Despite assurances from the owner that the set would fit, we faced a dilemma. We had to arrange for an additional paid service to disassemble, transport, and reassemble the piece. Had I received accurate information initially, I could have planned accordingly from the start. On the positive side, the assembly of the sectional was swift and hassle-free, and the set itself has held up well thus far. I intend to update this review in the future to provide insights into its ongoing condition. I want to emphasize that despite the issues I faced, I still consider Alex's Furniture to be a worthy option. I may revisit this store for future furniture needs. My recommendation comes with the caveat that there is room for improvement, especially in terms of customer service and communication. "Delivery is not on times and the driver is disrespectful and I realize the big fat guy is the owner and claims he’s only the worker ?! And says I’m call my boss goes downstairs and says an only 50 dollar less prices and I go to the basement and it’s with mold . And the Indian guy the sales also lie for the owner. And the matters are Refurbished matters with yellow tag. A twin matter for 120 when it’s 50 on factory. Buy and you will see once you’ll give the deposit"
"I bought a couch from them for my first apartment. I paid $1500 for a chair and loveseat that I later saw on Wayfair and every other layaway type furniture store for almost half the price if not less! The delivery guy could tell I wasn’t really sure about the set once I saw the size (since they didn’t have a model in the store this was my first time seeing the physical furniture). He put the set together so fast that I didn’t notice that he didn’t put the hardware on the right track. Now my couch is unleveled and the back is lopsided. Do not buy anything from Alex Furniture!!! They will rip you off in a heart beat."
"I bought two beds, king and Queen, first of all I didn’t receive my delivery the day they told me, they took much longer, a Hispanic lady that claims is the secretary is rude, I was just trying to get information about my delivery and she hang up the phone on me. I went twice to the store to ask about the date of the delivery arrival. Second, after a week of waiting The delivery finally arrived, when they began to install the beds, I noticed that they were not the same ones that they showed me in the catalog, besides not being the same, they were of very poor quality, they were very low, I complained to the person who installed the bed and he He said he had to speak directly to the store, that he couldn't do anything. I went to the store and when the seller arrived he acted as if he had no idea that the quality of the product was not the same, he told me that he could not give me any refund of my money and that he could not do anything else for me, it was a terrible experience, for future buyers he did not advise them to buy anything in this furniture, very bad service, low quality, and a lot of irresponsibility."
"WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAVE IN MY LIFE. I WOULD RATHER NOT HAVE FURNITURE THAN GO TO THIS PLACE. NO RETURN POLICY. DO NOT GO THERE, YOU WILL REGRET. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE GOING, TELL THEM NOT TO GO. I never give bad review to anyone, but this place is so BAD that I had no choice. I don't want anyone to experience this kind of service (So traumatic and upsetting that you will suffer for weeks after they deliver your purchase). I can relate my experience to all the bad reviews that other people gave here. I can't believe that their rating is above 3 (SEE Yelp review which is more accurate). Most of the good reviews are fake as you can see they are very short, people with last name that work there, and one of the review actually attached picture in the store (you can see the street outside the store). READ BELOW FOR MY TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE: I bought full bedroom set and small dining table (total cost ~$2400). Called me to tell one of the part is broken so had to reschedule the delivery. Told me that delivery will be between 12-4 pm. At 4 pm, I called the delivery guy for update that I have to leave within an hour. He replies "I will be there after I finish this delivery. It's your problem if you have to leave (no apologizing for not coming on the time frame they gave)." Then finally they showed up, set up furniture haphazardly (rushing). Put together dining table not properly and screw are not tightened, falling apart within 5 min of their set up (see pictures). PRODUCT QUALITY IS SO POOR. Wardrobe broken, don't open, and left without fixing. When I asked to fix it, they lied that "service man will come later and fix it". Left all the garbage in the apartment. When I called the Alex furniture, they hanged up phone without any conversation; manager screaming and yelling at me "you broke it. We don't return. All garbage is yours", not only that he threatened me that I was harassing him for calling to complain. I bought king size bed. Delivery men telling me "why you buy king size, your elevator is small". They parked their truck on street and someone broke side mirror and they are blaming me for it (can you imagine how unprofessional). {I guess that's the punishment they get for their misbehavior}. These delivery men are so UNPROFESSIONAL that I cannot imagine. They went to my kitchen, and grabbing milk jar, shaking without any permission whatsoever; making fun.Using my bathroom without asking for permission (I CANNOT EVEN TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO COME IN SOMEONE'S HOME). After all that, they were demanding for $50 tips LOL. I still gave them good amount of tips even after all that. And guess what before they left they loosened the screw of my front door lock when I went inside to check something (I guess because I didn't give them $50 tips). Unfortunately, nothing I can do now since I paid everything in CASH/debit card and signed the paper. I will complain in BBB and consumer affair. I don't know how this place still in business. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE. FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS REVIEW. UPDATE: few days later my wife went in person to complain and this is what they said to her "your husband was so rude, was cursing. We cannot even tell those words because it was so gruesome" (All of those are absolute lies. They should have call recording. If they can prove I cursed or was rude, I will take off this review. ONLY reason I am mentioning this here just to show how much these people lies without any hesitancy. I could not even believe that they can say such a lie. Not only that they told my wife "you should re-consider this guy". (HOW PATHETIC!!! UNBELIEVABLE THAT THEY HAVE NO SHAME TO MAKE COMMENTS REGARDING CUSTOMER'S PERSONAL BUSINESS). HOPEFULLY, PEOPLE WHO READING THIS REVIEW REALIZED HOW UNPROFESSIONAL/LAIR/CHEAT THIS FURNITURE STORE AND IT'S EMPLOYEE. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE, YOU WILL SUFFER AS I DID AND MANY OTHERS."
