"Caring staff and timely exams"
"Awful. Two negative experiences: 1. Was there 2 years ago for mammogram and ultrasound. They called my first name in the waiting area, I went into the first exam room, and the tech performed the ultrasound. I was sent to the hall to wait for my mammogram. Again, they called my first name and led me to a room where, ostensibly, I was to have my mammogram. I was surprised because the room was bright and there was an exam table, very different than my prwvious mammogram. I thought, "Wow. Maybe they give mammograms while the patient is lying down now instead of standing." When a tech came in, she greeted me by my first name and started asking me about anesthesia or if I'd ever had a needle aspiration before. When I said I was there for a mammogram, not a needle aspiration, they FINALLY verified my first and LAST name, and they had the wrong last name! There was another patient there with the same first name as me, and they almost did her procedure on me. No DOB checks, no verification of my last name. Unbelievable. 2. I called yesterday to schedule a mammogram because I found a lump. The lack of concern and urgency of the scheduling person was astounding: even after my doc faxed over the prescription, they refused to schedule me because one of the codes my doc used was off. Ok, but shouldn't the onus be on them to contact the doctor and fix it instead of asking an already worried woman who has found a lump to figure it out with her doctor? I felt like I was dealing with some uncaring bureaucrat at the DMV instead of a medical professional who woyldn't budge an inch to helo me, even when I told her how hard it was to get messages to my doctor, who has a busy office and a new secretary every time I go there. I was in tears by the time I got off the phone and have decided to get my mammogram elsewhere. Since Montefiore Einstein took over, this is no longer the breast care center it once was."
"Worst place. Save your money and time and go somewhere else."
