G's Cheesesteaks

"I visited many years ago and recently saw that they changed up a bit. So I decided to revisit. I’m glad that I did~! The parking is not great but manageable. The folks were very friendly and accommodating. I got the truffle whiz wit with garlic bread substitute. It tasted great. Packed full of meat and cheese. The cherry peppers add enough kick to break up the richness of the sandwich. I also got the animal fries. I was surprised at how great these tasted. I also topped them with any meat that fell out of my sandwich. Even better! My only issue is that it gets pricy really fast. But it tastes great. I’ll save this for when I wanna treat myself every now and then."

"My husband and I have been ordering here for years. I feel like as of this last year, the quality has changed in food and service. The consistency of the food is hit or miss depending on the night; their fries are the biggest opprtunity to have a different quality. I rarely get the same toppings whenever I order buffalo fries, even though the description never changes, and half the time the fries are a different type, sometimes crinkle, sometimes straight, sometimes shoestring. Any time I've ordered buffalo wings they never come tossed in the sauce, its always a cup on the side which feels lazy. Stick with the cheesesteaks and mac n' cheese bites to get the most reliable food, they're great. The bread is again inconsistent, sometimes its seeded, sometimes its not, and the size varies. Love this spot, still eat here frequently, although not as much as we used to. Hope they can get better training and more consistency."

"I had a chicken cheesesteak. It tasted really good, but what stood out was the amount of meat they put in the sandwich. It was enough for 2 sandwiches. The parmesan truffle fries were delicious and fragrant as well. I will definitely return and order another. It was definitely worth the money."

"I have been ordering food from here for years, and the food is excellent, as has been their service, however, G's manager, April, recently offered my teenage son a job, his very first, which he happily accepted and was very excited about. His first day of work was October 30, 2023. He worked a total of 3 days (14.5 hours of work in those 3 days), which was considered to be his training, where he was to receive $10 an hour. When his training was complete, he was asked what days he could work going forward, and he let April know that he would be able to work any time except during the Sabbath hours of Friday Sundown through Saturday Sundown. April stopped responding to him at this point, which if she was simply no longer interested in employing him, would have been fine, but she also never paid him for the 14.5 hours he did work. It has now been over a month, and after several phone calls, text messages, and even one in person visit, my son has still not been paid for the time he worked for G's. When confronting April in person on November 23rd, 2023 as to when my son would be paid, April said to me "it's not a big pay anyway, and I told him he would be receiving 'training pay'". When I asked exactly what "training pay" is, her response was "I have no idea". April also went on to blame the owner "Jack" for not letting her know how to rectify this situation. She also told me "You should dial back your attitude because nobody else is going to hire a teenager, and that's a shame because he did really well". She said he did really well, but I guess not well enough to give my son a positive introduction into the workforce by actually paying him what he earned. *shrug*"
