"We were extremely satisfied with Kathy at the Transit Road store and with our installer. Store was very helpful in assisting us in finding a flooring product for a bathroom, and kept in close contact with us through the installation. The installer communicated well and did an outstanding job of installation, actually better than I expected. We would recommend Custom Carpet to others. We have dealt with Custom Carpet a number of times over the years, and never go to the "big box" stores for flooring."

"Overall a good experience with one “glitch”. We ordered both carpeting and LVP flooring for two rooms in our home. Salesman was super helpful and spent a lot of time with us during the two weeks of samples and decision making. On the day the installer arrived with the LVL flooring, we discovered that the flooring was the “glue down” type, and not the click fit type. Had to be reordered. The salesman was very apologetic for the order mistake, and the correct product, arrived a bit quicker than expected. Installation of both the LVP flooring and the carpet went smoothly. Would recommend Custom Carpet Center in a heartbeat."

"Overall the look and feel of our carpet is exactly what we wanted, however we encountered some issues throughout our process that we want to cautiously warn others of, specifically of the Orchard Park location. We had to pay for the carpet ahead of the ordering and installation. I would have guessed it was supposed to be just a deposit, but no we had to pay in full which we were not warned ahead of time but we managed. I swear our price was supposed to be $4.79/sf but came to $5.79, and then a coupon I had was not accepted, so the price came a few hundred dollars higher than expected. We were told 2-3 weeks for the carpet to come in, and about of week installation afterwards. Two weeks goes by and we get a call from our sales representative…to ask us the name of the carpet we chose. I’m sorry? Is that not your job as the sales representative? We weren’t even given a receipt so how can we tell you what the name is? Our sales representative eventually found out and told us that the person from the warehouse was reading off someone else’s order. But then, our order took another 2 weeks…so I think we figured out what happened there. At no point were we offered any apology or maybe a small discount for our delay. When it finally came in, installation was scheduled within a week. The first round I was not home for but they did a good job, but had to come back for the stairs as we installed a runner. This took an additional 2 weeks (there was a holiday in between so understandable), and the guys came 15 minutes before the window of time was up. They started installing and then went into the van for a “quick call” which turned into 20 minutes…more like a smoke break. They were there for almost 2 hours which seemed a bit excessive for 2 guys, but I don’t install carpets. I understand the installers are not employed by custom carpets but the guys installing ours were quite questionable and concerned us at times but ultimately they did the job and it’s done. We have decided that should we need carpets or flooring done in the future we certainly will not work with Custom Carpets again - ultimately due to the issues we encountered in the ordering process. A 4 week project turned into 8 weeks that we did not expect from the cost we paid."

"Installers were polite, quick, professional and did a great job. Our salesperson was thorough and professional. She went the extra mile to check inventory at the mill to make sure she could give us a reasonably accurate delivery/installation estimate."

"We have had two projects done by Custom Carpet Center. One a stair runner and the other a carpet for our front room. Everyone was great to deal with and the whole process was made easy by Jim D and Cliff the installer. We could not be happier with both projects and would recommend them to anyone!"
