"I am the Founder for a non-profit tax exempt charitable organization and went to shop today for 2 barrels for shipping. I presented the organization tax exempt document and the Manager, Cindy refused to honor the document and told me that I have to pay the tax. She told me that I have to get a more recent document that is dated 2023. Meanwhile, this is a valid and legal document with the State of New York and there is no renewal. I have been shopping at Shop Fair Supermarket for barrels throughout the years and most recently purchased 4 in October/November 2022 without tax. Cindy was very rude, disrespectful, arrogant and difficult to talk to. She did not want to listen and refused to let me speak to upper management. She told me that her "Boss" is in Dominion Republic and that she is in charge. Management need to ensure that their employees have proper training on customer service and to be acquainted with these types of forms (ST-119). I shopped at other stores such as Coscto, Home Depot, BJ's , Jetro and Key Food etc without any problem and any humiliation. As a Clergy, I always gave respect, and would also like to be treated with respect. I left the store without purchasing the barrels."
"Besides Orpheus the customer service was terrible. I purchased halal chicken from this establishment. Two days later I found out the meat was rancid!! I quickly called and spoke with Divian. I explained the situation and told her my work schedule would not allow me to return soon, but to take note of my call so I could exchange it for another item. I wasn’t going to take that chance again. Once I was off I was able to returned and first I dealt with Rafael, who pretended he was only the front end mgr. and said he could do nothing without Divian. I then take off time from work (as I live nowhere near this place) and came back to meet Divian, who then gives me some BS about Rafael being her mgr. then hits me with some BS about it being too long. if you can avoid it do so, once your money is in it’s gone. Her attitude was horrible and I assume she is probably uneducated as her, I don’t speak English mgr."
