"The Director is not great here. The teachers are great however they can do so much due to administration. My child was treated unfairly. My child had some challenges such as being verbally delayed and he was active. My child is 3 years old. toddlers are active. Every child develops and grows differently. The director made the decision to have my child stay only half days for half of the school year. She had separated from his classroom. She tried to tell me that he was still getting the curriculum but felt that he needed to be separated. I called a meeting with Ms. Carter and the teacher because i did not like that my child was separated and how he was being treated. He will not gain the social skills needed if hes separated and think about how that made him feel. They never told me about any extended day and/or after school or summer program. My child was approved for extended day. Ms. Carter pushed for my child to get evaluated however my child knew more than some of the kids there. They told me that he doesn't know certain things and when i brought it to their attention what he knows i was told that he wasn't doing those things in class. They never gave my baby a chance to show his skills. They never gave him an opprotunity to grow. They were so quick to diagnose my child before actually helping him. Ms. Carter would call me for foolishness. She treated multiple kids this way from my understanding of speaking with other parents. I've only spoke to a social worker once and that was because my mom has connections in another school and she was able to get in contact with the social worker of the school. There was suppose to be a researched based strategy to help with my child adapting to the class before he was referred for an evaluation. My child was home from birth until he started 3k. he was never in any daycare setting. He needed time to adjust and that was never given to him. The social worker acted as if she wasn't aware that my child was only staying half days. she supposedly wasn't aware and also Ms. Carter was never suppose to take it upon herself to do that. this is a department of education school and they get paid for a full day. The teachers were great Ms.Beford, Ms. Alexis and My son really took to Ms. Keyana who always took time with him from the things that I've seen. Ms. Carter needs more training on child developmental, on how to manage a classroom, how to manage children who may not be on the same level as other children. She did not communicate well. She over talked in meetings but did not know anything. She has no patience. And from my observation shes more of a talker than a doer. I would not reccomend this school. I figured black educators, black administration is a plus but it back fired! my child was treated unfairly and it really broke my heart as a parent. It was the worst first time experience I've ever had with the school system. Administration NEEDS TO DO BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1"

"They call acs on people . They called acs on a friend because her son missed school for a week which she spoke to the school and she also had a doctors letter explaining xyz . They reported abuse and a bunch of lies her son don’t talk and he talks every much they live in a shelter when she has her own place be careful and mindful this happen back in 2021 they made her child take his clothes off so they can take pics of what was a allergic reaction they thought it was a sign of abuse. I wish I can give them a 0 it took a whole year for her to find another school for her son he missed the opportunity of 3k . He’s now in kindergarten and is thriving and all his teachers classmates love him don’t send your kids here"
