"We were quoted 250 for an initial visit and a neutering for our cat. Having used them in the past, we decided that them being a couple dollars higher than other places would be worth it. We were wrong. After they found our cat had ear mites (otherwise in good health) they charged not only 20 to look in his ears but another 70 to check under the microscope to confirm mites. Our initial visit now being $286 (they didn't even treat the mites for that much!) we wanted to be abundantly clear about the neutering charges (we knew that we wouldn't be able to get rescheduled somewhere else quickly and we have a new kitten in the house so we couldn't wait) and after we were told them we didn't want extra tests ran to keep the cost closer to what we were initially told, they claim they had to sedate using an IV instead of pill (he was already sedated from a pill we gave him without any problem before taking him in) and the person that we talked to and told us it would be 200, conveniently was working only a half day and was not there when we had to pick him up and they told us the bill was not 200 but 370 instead. They will rip you off, over 650 for an initial visit and a neutering is all that you need to know about these thieves."
"Bait and switch on pricing! We were told it would cost approximately $250 for an initial visit and a secondary visit for a neutering for our cat. The initial visit cost $280 after they ran a lump sum of additional tests and then when we returned to have the neutering done (had to be done quickly because of a new kitten in the house) it was confirmed that it would cost around 200, only for the bill to be 370 when we came to pick him up, there was no consultation about the extra cost and the doctor told us too bad, that they had all sorts of extra anesthesia they needed and that we were legally liable for the extra charges. They will take advantage of your love for your pet and you will pay financially for it, these people are not to be trusted. They are theives."
"Yesterday was my first visit there with my pup. I did not feel the front desk staff were very friendly. I did not receive a "hello" or anything! I went to the desk and gave my name and she just said "put her on the scale". I had no idea where it was! She finally pointed. I stood there a while with my pup on the scale not knowing if she was going to come look at it or could see the weight somehow from where she was. I finally asked if I was supposed to let her know the weight. She said "what is it". I assumed then that I was to sit and wait. So, I did. Once we were in the exam room which is very cold and dull, (but my pup didn't care) Dr. Miller came in for the exam. I was very impressed with her. She was very thorough, and gave me a lot of information without any pressure. She was very knowledgeable and nice! I am still waiting on a quote though. When I checked out at the front desk I was treated the same as when I walked in. As long as the treatment continues to go well by the veterinarians there I will most likely continue to go. But, first impressions are very important and they are the first ones we see. I just feel they could be a little friendly."
"Our golden retriever is 14 1/2 yrs old and we brought him in for a tumor and seizures. We received excellent care from Dr Briana Cappiello and her staff. Our Cody is still with us and we highly recommend this vet practice. They are very caring and compassionate for your pet and you."
"The most caring, attentive, and above and beyond care is at Walworth Animal Hospital. Our dog Morrison has been going there for many years and is so clearly loved each and every time we come in. Morrison was very sick the last day or two and I called late in the afternoon when I realized he was rapidly declining. Although they were short staffed and did not have open appointments Allison working the front desk remembered him and had an instinct he needed to come in. Dr. Jen Miller then cleared the rest of her day for him and found Morrison had a blockage and scrapes in his intestines. If he had waited any longer to be seen he would not have made it. Dr Miller and her tech even stayed far past their hours of working to observe and love on Momo post op. It is only because of the amazing care he is getting a chance to fight for a full recovery. When we picked him up it was so clear the entire office was loving on him and rooting for his recovery. Whether he makes a full recovery or not we will always be so so grateful to Walworth Animal Hospital for their spectacular care. We cannot express our gratitude enough and I cannot express how highly I recommend this vet for your animal ❤️"
