"Working at Medex for these past 1.5yrs was great and a big part of that was thanks to Scott, the Durham manager. He let me set up a schedule that worked perfectly for me as I finished up my undergrad-- I was able to coordinate my shifts around exams, assignments, and study-abroad programs. I always felt more than comfortable speaking with Scott if I ran into any road bumps during a shift, needed to discuss my schedule, etc. with the confidence that he would do whatever he could to help his crews out. What stood out the most was the company's overall environment – both respectful and welcoming. I genuinely liked the people that I worked with, and the people I worked for. It's a place that knows how to make you feel valued and like part of a team. There are also many incentives, bonuses, and even a Christmas party (with giveaways) to increase rapport and thank the employees for their hard work. I am so incredibly grateful for the experience, I feel that I have learned so much during my time at the company, and I highly recommend working here!"
"MedEx is a great company to work for! This was my first EMT job and I can say it was a great experience. They are extremely flexible and willing to work with you if you have any schedule restrictions and you will have opportunities for overtime. I have met and worked with some incredibly wonderful people who are driven and willing to stuff your brain with knowledge. I have learned so much in the year and a half I worked there that has definitely helped me in my growth as an EMT. MedEx shows so much appreciation for their hard working employees by giving out plenty of incentives and bonuses. Scott, the supervisor of the Durham office, is great at communicating and will go out of his way to show he cares for his employees. Scott is an excellent supervisor and made the job experience better! If you are new to EMS, MedEx is a great first step in the door!"
"Great company with solid leadership I worked for MedEx for over a year and a half and couldn't be happier to have said I worked there. Leadership and management were strong and always available to help me and teach me in my role. Working for MedEx was my first job as an EMT and I can confidently say that the experiences gained at this company were vital to my growth in health care. In addition to teaching me the basics, the company, specifically Jeff Bright, went out of its way to provide continued education and help recertify me as an NCEMT. Besides their commitment to education and training, the company showed an extreme willingness to work with me in terms of scheduling. As a full-time college student, I was able to make a schedule that worked for me and allowed me to continue in EMS when other companies and agencies wouldn't. Scott, the manager of the Durham office is a great communicator and cares for his employees. He worked with me every month to allow me to take shifts that didn't interfere with school. This dedication Scott and others have speaks to the standard of management across the board at the company. Scott truly made MedEx an enjoyable place to work. MedEx is a place where if you give 100% everyday and take pride in your job, they will certainly reciprocate it back with appericiation and reward. If you are looking for a great place to work in the EMS field, look no further than MedEx."
"MedEx is a great company to work for. As a full-time undergraduate student, I was able to work part-time as an EMT and gained wonderful experiences. You will be given clear guidelines of what is expected of you inside and outside the ambulance, and if you do them well and with purpose you will have a smooth experience on the job. I worked with some really incredible and supportive people. Additionally, You can tell that management cares about you, and for that I am grateful. If you get off late, you will be compensated for extra hours. As someone who is passionate about helping others in a medical context, this job was a perfect fit."
"Horrible Company, treats employees horribly, doesn’t supply its trucks or employees and provides very little training. Dangerous all around."
