"I brought my daughter for a sick visit. The wait to see just an NP was over an hour. The NP did most of the exam and then when Dr. Ferrand finally came into the room, he did a quick 2 min check - barely did an exam and came up asthma as a reason my daughters cough (even though he did not check her lungs/breathing). Then he prescribed a cough medicine which I later found out was an over the counter CVS brand that I had already been giving her and a nasal spray that my insurance does not cover. When I called their office back to prescribe a nasal spray that is covered, I never hear back. The visit was a total waste of time, the doctor’s exam was poor and lacking, and the office’s lack of organization/ communication led to no solution. I will be changing pediatricians and do not recommend this doctor or office to anyone."
"I'm deeply disappointed and compelled to leave a one-star review for this pediatrician's office, given the recent experiences I've had. For years, I've been a dedicated and satisfied client, and I've never encountered any issues until dealing with the front desk receptionist. Her consistently rude and condescending behavior is not only unacceptable but also completely unprofessional, especially in a pediatric setting where a friendly and welcoming atmosphere is vital. It's truly regrettable that her presence has had such a negative impact on my overall perception of this office. As a result, I've been left with no choice but to start looking for a new healthcare provider for my daughter, which is a decision I never thought I'd have to make. In addition to my previous concerns, I would like to emphasize another critical point. It is essential that the front desk receptionist, in her role, understands the importance of addressing a child's needs with the utmost care and sensitivity, especially when a parent is present. The receptionist should focus on communicating with the child directly only if the situation requires it, and even then, it should be done with patience and kindness. This is not just about professionalism; it’s also about creating a comfortable and nurturing environment for the children who visit the office. For parents like myself, it’s vital that the entire experience, from the moment we step into the office, is focused on the well-being of our children. The receptionist’s conduct should reflect this. I sincerely hope that the management of this pediatrician's office takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue promptly. It's crucial that they recognize the importance of having a team that's patient and professional when dealing with children, as well as their parents. This experience has been nothing short of disheartening, and one star is honestly too generous for the quality of service provided under these circumstances."
"My children have been patience of Dr. Moawad for a total of 16 years. He has been a wonderful and thoughtful Dr. Always keeping their information up to date and precise. The staff has always been helpful and attentive, bubbly and kind this is an awesome place!"
"Terrible, I spent an hour an a half waiting for my child's physical apointment. First they tell me I have problems with my deductible which was not true. I had to call my insurance twice to finally find out that the problem was that I was out of network which they could have told me over the phone when my apointment was confirmed instead of wasting my time. And all bc they thought I had a deductible problem and that wasn't even the case. Noone there know wth they are doing. Complete waste of time! And on top of that before I found out I was out of network they were ready to just reschedule me, WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN ANOTHER WASTE OF TIME IF I WOULD OF DONE THAT. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE."
"I originally made an appointment on Zocdoc for 1/6/2023 at 4:10PM. Shortly after, I got a call from the office stating the doctor would not be available and rescheduled me for 1/9/2023 at 4:10PM instead. I was annoyed that there was a clear availability online that was suddenly no longer available but I persisted. Today, we got there a few minutes before my son's 4:10PM appointment. We checked in and was told the doctor had not arrived as yet. I was given paperwork and told to fill it out and wait in our car as the lobby was overcrowded. I did as instructed and was called in at about 5:20PM. Once in the lobby, there was another wait. It turns out all that waiting caused my son to be hungry and I had given him a small snack to eat to offset his hunger. Afterwards, I thought it best for him to wash his hands and motioned for him to do so. On the way to the restroom a young man, who I'll assume is perhaps an intake personnel, seemed alarmed and asked if my son was about to use the bathroom (other children had just used it with no question from the same young man). I asked the young man if the doctor was ready to see him or if they were ready to take his vitals but he never answered me. Instead when I explained that my son was just going to wash his hands, he seemed relieved and in my mind that was the end of the matter. But once my son was done washing his hands and we were about to head back to the lobby, the receptionist stopped us in the hallway to say, "she had never seen our insurance before and the doctor...before your son can be seen...you need to call the company and make the doctor the primary provider ..." Now I had already done my research and the insurance company had already explained that there was no requirement for a prior authorization or assignment of primary doctor. The doctor's office also never mentioned this prior to our office visit. I asked receptionist if making the call would delay my son seeing the doctor. She didn't answer. I followed up by asking if my son could be seen while I made the call. She said no. It was clear this was a refusal of service and I no longer felt welcome. It seems this office just makes up the rules as they go along. That said, this was piss poor service and I would not recommend."
