"First time in and I was eating solo so I didn’t get through much of the menu but the pork ribs and collard greens were delicious. The house old fashioned was also tasty. I’ll be back to work my way through the menu. This might be Raleigh’s best BBQ. Second time in and I got the brisket. Mmmm. Great bark. Juicy. Delicious. Better than the ribs and the ribs are great."
"First time checking the place out and it didn't disappoint. I got the pulled bbq pork sandwich with the pimento Mac n cheese. The sandwich also came with a small side of coleslaw. I chose a tangy hot-sauce to go along with my sandwich. The sandwich was flavorful and seasoned well. The Mac n cheese was very good as well. The side was an add on and not included with the sandwich. Overall I would try this place again:"
"Really bummed to have a sub par dining experience here - drinks and atmosphere were good though! Service was great- friendly, upbeat, and attentive. My biggest negative was that the food IMO is significantly overpriced for the quantity and quality served. Flavors were surprisingly somewhat bland and lacked that gluttonous “richness” you usually get with fatty briskets and Mac and cheese…I’m still not quite sure how that’s possible (and no I don’t have covid taste loss). The street corn had decent flavor but didn’t seem fresh, the kernels were shrunken and not juicy. Again, not bad, just very under-impressed for the potential I think this place could have to be awesome. Will give it another shot at some point but not dying to go back"
"Get the brisket. Period. It’s moist and tender and smoky. The collards are great. I like the green beans because they were still slightly crunchy. The fries, oh the fries, yes. Just yes. Pimento Mac n cheese was pretty good, didn’t care for the coleslaw because it was not as sweet as I like. The ribs had a great smoky flavor and were tender, but not fall off the bone moist. Really fantastic service and cool outdoor space. Try it! I’ll definitely go back to try the brisket melt and vegetarian sandwich."
