"I've been a patient for over 20yrs there when Dr. Panzarella was running the office. Loved it then. Now with the new doctors there the service has gone down extremely. Doctor just wants to get you in and out. Had lab work done and he never went over my results with me. ALWAYS seems in a rush. Scripts are hard to get refilled. Very unorganized place. Will DEFINITELY look for new one."
"Wouldn't even bridge me on a med I've been on a long time until I saw a new specialist, despite extreme symptoms causing me to miss work and have little to none quality of life. Didn't seem to understand why I was having intensified symptoms since having covid, it's a shame there are so few doctors willing to prescribe effective medicine especially during a pandemic. One more reason NY state is messed up."
"I’ve been a patient of Family Care Medicine before the joined the General Physician PC group. I’ve always been very happy with my care. Today I was seen by Dr Harshal Patel, which was not who I was originally scheduled with. Though he was nice, his inexperience and comments left me enraged. He needed to reference his cell phone to look things up three times during my appointment which is not a big deal- his confidence will come with experience as he does seem young. However all of his “recommendations” in regards to OB issues were completely invalid. I left and immediately called my OB office where they told me to “disregard everything Dr Patel told me”. I had a baby 6 months ago and he told me to wait at last three years to conceive again due to my BMI (which is 28 by the way, and the normal cut off is 25- and I just had a baby) He said if I’m aggressive with my weight loss I could try to conceive in two years. When my OB has already gave me the green light to try again! I also pointed out it’s not recommended for me to wait two years as I’m already advanced maternal age at 36. He then went on to tell me not to focus so much on working out and more my diet as working out “is a lot of work to burn 100-200 calories and it just makes you more hungry”. What happened to eat right and get in your cardio 3-4x a week for heart health? He didn’t bother to order routine labs such as CBC CMP and Lipids because my labs looked good in 2019 - despite the fact he commented that my last labs I was anemic. Again- nice guy but his complete lack of knowledge and experience is evident. And he needs to leave the OB recommendations to the specialist."
"I have been with the office for years , and for some reason giving me refills for the synthriod I have taken for the past 15 years and will take the rest of my life is a battle. Right now I'm without my medicine because the pharmacy put in a refill request a week ago and the office never responded. I called the on-call service and started speaking (nicely) and they hung up on me. This doctor won't give me a year of refills which was the norm, they give me 1-2 months qt a time and make me go without regularly when not having my medicine makes me sick. Ill be switching after this, I'm worn out."
"I was immensely impressed with my first appointment here. I found the staff very helpful and the Nurse Practitioner I saw was amazing. I have a very bad anxiety disorder and she took a lot of time to make sure I was comfortable with her treatment plan which she included me on planning. I switched doctors because of my former care provider always pushing drugs at me and not really helping me solve the problem. GLAD I MADE THE CHANGE !"
