"Been here solo and as a chaperone for youth trips. Always pleasant, accommodating, patient, and genuinely happy to talk about their passion for the animals. The most bang for your buck (it's free) around. Trails, cross country skis to use for free, snowshoes to use for free. Live animals and demonstrations. Cool interactive exhibits. The grounds are beautiful with miles of trails and activities. My only wish I that I could utilize"
"My wife and I took our grandson to the nature center. We had been there before and he had a great time yet again. He loves looking at the fish, Play with building blocks, Seeing the turtles. The staff was very nice and there was a lot of room for him to run around."
"Beautiful spot. Nicely maintained trails. Great displays. Attentive staff. Love the foyer fish tank. Beautiful and educational."
"Enjoyed a nice visit on a Sunday. The center itself was relatively crowded with families and parking was very limited (although I might've missed overflow parking, if there is any.) I did a brief swing through the center. I enjoyed the small carnivorous plant exhibit right up front, as I was weird enough to try to grow them as a kid. I took the longer loop trail, and there was no one else on it. Most of it was shaded with relatively dense canopy and skirted the river. There are a few educational signs asking the route that help one put the area into context, and a few benches to enjoy the view and rest if needed. Admission is free. I think the trails are the draw, but the center would be great for kids, or as a museum-type visit when it's less busy."
"No other nature center like this! For your kids to explore on their own. And they have guided nature walks for kids and adults. Plenty of parking and much to enjoy !"
