"Another great history lesson from WWII, friendly and knowledgeable staffer, well laid out with numerous displays and information"
"Small museum that does an excellent job commemorating the roughly 1000 refugees brought to America from Europe during World War II. The staff is very passionate and the introductory video gives a good overview of that unique moment in American history. Recommend visit if you are in the area and interested in people desperate to escape the horrors of history."
"This museum describes the little known events of bringing about 1000 people who fled WWII concentration camps to come to the US on President Roosevelt's order. Charitable events to help and closed-minded actions both happened. It's history that most people have not heard."
"A wonderful place that we sought to visit. I came with family who are descendants of a couple that were brought to this country and here. We had read the book "Haven", which details the little known story. The employee on duty was a young woman who was outstanding in her knowledge and sensitivity. We all learned more and really enjoyed the displays. I loved seeing the Motorcycle groups that had contributed to this project. What a nice surprise."
