"Let’s start by saying that ( in my opinion ) I feel this library was an investment for Merrick that was not needed. The old library that was there was fine. This building is just to large. There’s very few books compared to others, very few dvd movies, and I don’t think they have magazines unless their hiding them, I could be wrong. On the up side the staff there are wonderful people, always courteous and willing to help. It’s not that I dislike this library it’s just the shortage of almost everything and the amount of people using it doesn’t warrant the size of this building."

"This library is wonderful. But what inspires me most about this place is the staff! I've been floating my medical board exam studies between 3 libraries in long island. In this world that seems to encompass a lot of negatives, the staff here knows how to make you feel at home, welcomed, and safe. Currently, I'm at one of the other library and I'm asking myself, "ugh, why didn't I just go to Merrick!" Thank you guys for your excellent service, and more important pleasant and loving demeanor. One day in the near future I pray and hope I can be in a position to be a financial donor to upkeep their mission. Happy New to you all."
