"My furniture was delivered this morning, and the men were very professional and friendly. They were considerate of my narrow hallways and the yard. This is the second delivery I have had, and I have been delighted with the service."
"This is not a review of the drivers, who I’m sure will do a great job delivering the furniture, but rather the less than stellar customer service the company has provided. I was scheduled to have furniture delivered (to NJ) on Friday, which necessitated my wife to take a day off of work. They called yesterday, instructing me that the delivery was going to have to be pushed back (to when? They don’t know) because the truck was over-filled. When I called, hoping for a partial refund due to the inconvenience and explaining the circumstances with my wife now needing to take TWO days off, and being couch-less with a pregnant wife and friends coming over, the woman I spoke with was less than understanding, to the point of berating me on the phone, even accusing me of wanting to take money away from the drivers before Christmas; a clearly asinine assertion. In their mind, the “favor” they were doing was delivering it a few days later as opposed to next month. How that’s a favor, I don’t really understand. Signed, The Grinch (per the receptionist)"
"I was a little worried about this company after reading recent reviews. Although my delivery was delayed a few times, it was delivered today. I was very pleased with the gentlemen that delivered the furniture. Very friendly and professional. Definitely white glove delivery."
"Probably some of the rudest people I am ever dealt with in their office. We bought furniture and it was delivered, unfortunately some of the pieces had damage, not their fault. The guys who came were nice and took back the pieces to make repairs and then redeliver. That’s when the nightmare started. Countless phone calls trying to find out when our furniture would come back, no return calls, nasty receptionist, countless lies about what was going on, so many that they would contradict themselves. Brandy was the worst because she would never follow up, return calls, and flat out lie if you could get her on the phone. I finally went back to the company that we bought the furniture from for help. They were also given the run-around, not called back and lied to. It took us 2 1/2 months to get the furniture back. We were told the pieces were put together and inspected. When it was delivered, the 2 pieces were not put together - 1 had some damage, but we didn’t care. The second couldn’t be put together because there were no holes drilled. Sent that back and got our money back because I did not want to deal with these people again. Terrible company to deal with if you have to send pieces back and redelivered. Never again!"
"This company was contracted to (white-glove) deliver furniture to my house by Hickory Furniture Mart. They gave me a delivery date one week out. It allowed time for me to arrange my work schedule and to have someone at the house to pay them, inspect furniture and accept delivery. I had a question about who to make the cashiers check out to, and called them no less than 8 times over the next few business days, during business hours. No one ever answered, and there’s not an option to leave a message. I emailed one of the email addresses on their website, but it bounced back. I finally got a response from another email address I found a couple days later. It was kind of frustrating, but so far, so good. They called back less than 36 hours before the scheduled delivery and wanted to deliver in the next 12 hours. I explained that it didn’t work with the scheduled I’d arranged and that no one would be at the property. I said I would be willing to rearrange my schedule for a discount on the $720 delivery fee. He offered me $75 off, which I didn’t accept. I said it would need to be at least a $300 discount in order for it to be worth my time/energy/loss of work to rearrange my schedule. That’s when the D&D employee started yelling at me. My favorite line was: “I’m not asking you to give us your house! I’m just asking you to work with us!” I didn’t realize that them taking my house was even an option, so heads up. I understand there was a scheduling error, but it’s not my responsibility to lose work and rearrange MY schedule because of their mistake. The delivery drivers delivered as originally scheduled. They were not in a good mood or friendly. They were paid, tipped, sent on their way, and I finished installing the hardware on my own. I would highly recommend this company hiring a logistics coordinator since they make long-haul deliveries. You may not have a choice if this company is contracted out as a third party. If that’s the case, my sincerest sympathy to you."
