"This vet is incredibly outdated, treats cats horribly (slams them on the counter and yells at them- our 5 week old kitten). He also DXd our dogs with worms and our new cat. Despite our cat never once coming in contact with our dogs or their living environment. Gives the wrong medications to treat against worms, and refusing to give all the animals medications once diagnosed. He won't label medications. Leaving me to give my dog 2 years of ivermecton in 2 weeks because I was told to give nightly with food. He also claimed to pull an infected tooth out of our dogs mouth, and as a dental professional myself, there was not a single incision in my dogs entire mouth nor were any of her teeth missing, and since leaving this awful practice, second opinions have been incredibly eye opening. His scale doesn't even work in his office, leaves your pets weight off, please verify your pets weight at a pet store if anything. If you come to this office, make sure you record your interactions with this monster and get a second opinion by ANY other vet. We found an incredible one in Pittsford."
"It's one of the best veterinarians i've ever come across!!!! extremely polite and knowledgeable. My dog loves coming here!!!! Highly recommend to anybody who loves her animal and wants to get them the best medical care they can receive."
"We’ve taken our first dog to Dr Koch since he was a pup - he’s 8 now - but with our new rescue dog, it became apparent Koch’s mind and ethics are not where a person in any medical field should be. After several run arounds trying to get our dog spayed (and $500 later), he tells us during our other dog’s check up that they both need teeth cleanings, ear cleaner, the science diet, and our girl needs an $80 medication and possibly an ultrasound. His assistant was so nervous holding our boy, he became nervous. We sought a second opinion on our girl, they spayed her no problem and she’s healthy. Now we attempt to fill our boy’s heartworm prevention prescription because the test we paid for at his checkup is still good, but Dr Koch refused and had his assistant hang up on us. They also do not give you your records. Those medical records you see crammed on those shelves are not all current patients. Dr Koch and his team failed our dogs."
"They are the best. They are all caring people. Dr Hoover and his staff were Soo compationit and understanding when we had to put our Jake to sleep. They take care of our pets like they were their own."
"Our cat Max was quite ill and we took him to the Hornell Animal Hosp. for treatment. Everyone was very kind and even though Dr. tried his very best to help Max, we ended up having to make a decision to have Max put down because he was not eating nor drinking and was not responsive. We had Max cremated and we received his remains about two weeks latter in a beautiful flowered tin. Thank you Dr Koch and staff for you kindness."
