Crown Cab - Charlotte

"I am giving 1 star due to driver Kimberly, not crown can as a whole. I do not recommend this driver for kids requiring special needs transportation contracted through CMS. She does not have the level of tolerance needed and is easily annoyed. Kimberly calls parents while driving, and expresses concerns in front of other students. The very little time I allowed her to transport my student, she complained about how the “foreigners that run this business have no idea what they are doing” and several other complaints with the requirements of her chosen trips, insinuating racial prejudice. I have not met this driver face to face; however, over the phone she appears hostile and unwelcoming. She is highly unprofessional for this role."

"Horrible. Better just call Lyft or Uber. Rude, they NEVER HAVE AVAILABILITY. Horrible experience. Charlotte isn't as big a city as it wants to be, forget hailing a cab or reserving a cab. Go black car or a ride share app. Not sure why this still exists tbh."

"I highly recommend this cab company. I called and requested a quote for a ride to the airport. The dispatcher took my phone number and checked to see who was nearby and called back immediately. While speaking with her, our driver called to let us know he was in the lobby! Can’t get faster than that!! He was very polite and drove well in the rain. The car was nice and warm for us. The quoted rate was right on. There was no manipulation of the meter and we could conveniently pay with a bank card. I would call them again for service around Charlotte."

"Lied about their availability. I called 12 hours ahead and asked for a reservation. They said they only reserve an hour from pick up and I asked if they would have any availability at that time and they originally told me yes absolutely no problem! I called when I was ready and they told me they had no taxis at all that they could get to me and that they couldn’t reserve them for not knowing when they would be free. I wouldn’t of been upset if they would’ve just told me they can’t reserve a spot for me instead of lying about it."
