Reviews of GrandView Animal Care Center
"Thank you Dr Lisa and staff for your willingness to help our Lucie . She us a beautiful Tuxedo Lady Cat. We feel safe to have her in your care."
"LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS VET!!! Also, whenever you have an appointment they put your animals name on the board making them (or the owner) feel like a star! Your receipt always has a cute write up about your visit and everyone is so helpful and friendly!"
"Rude and unaccommodating clinic and staff. I decided to switch vets, and forgo the lifetime vaccines program I bought for one of my dogs because of the treatment from this clinic. They are very strict on the timing for the yearly appointment (if you are late, you lose the lifetime vaccine program we purchased). Three years ago we had to negotiate and advocate at length for some flexibility while my infant son was hospitalized and I could not make the appointment. More recently, I told them I was able to make the yearly appointment, however I would have 3 children with me including a newborn and asked if they could assist in getting my dogs from the car into the clinic. I have two golden retrievers and this would be difficult to handle 3 children and 2 dogs on my own. The office staff laughed at me on the phone and stated they could not help me due to staffing. I continued advocate and try to work with them, offering to bring the dogs in myself, but then go sit in the car with my children and talk with the vet over the phone (as we did during Covid) and they refused saying I needed to be in person for the yearly checkup. They said if I rescheduled I would lose the lifetime vaccine program that I purchased. Finally they said they might be able to have someone help me bring the 2 dogs in from the car, while I bring in the 3 children, but I would need to wait a very long time. This didn’t sit well with me and I have since changed vets. Not worth the money we invested in the lifetime vaccine program for this kind of treatment."
"Not the best choice for your anxious or reactive dog. I have been going to Grandview for the past 7 years. Throughout that time I have discussed my dog’s anxiety at length as it causes him to become aggressive. When I first brought it up a few years ago Dr. Lisa recommended behavior training. I did just that. My dog has undergone three different trainings. After investing a lot of time and money and seeing little improvement I decided that it was time to explore medication. I was extremely disappointed in my dog’s annual review this year. I talked at length with the vet tech about my dog’s anxiety. When Dr. Lisa came in the room, she did not even address it. I had to stop her when she was walking out of the room. Her response was that I needed to do behavior training. When I told her that I had and she was adamant that I needed a trainer to come to the home. I told her that I had done this with two different trainers. She ended up prescribing my dog a medication that unfortunately did not make a difference. Grandview never followed up to see how the pills were working. When I reached out to inquire about another option I received an email from Dr. Lisa stating that she would need to talk to my dog’s trainer first. I have since found a new vet who has already made quite a positive impact."
"My 2 male dogs receive excellent care at Grandview. They get an annual checkup and their shots are kept up to date. Concerns and questions are always answered. If one of the "boys" has a more serious problem they are fit into the schedule and seen right away by a competent, caring, friendly staff. My "boys" are my family and Grandview understands this."
