"River Mill Cycles is the definition of what I think a local bike shop should be. Shame on me for not finding them sooner. I was in the market to buy a very good quality mountain bike to replace my 20+ year old bike. My goal was a good used bike. I actually had one in the shopping cart of a large online seller based in Colorado when one last look brought me to River Mill Cycles in Saxapahaw. Only about 20 minutes from my house. After getting to the shop and talking with David and Eric and explaining what I was looking for, I knew within a few minutes that I would be doing business with them. Eric set up 3 different model bikes for me to test ride. Ensuring the shocks were adjusted to my weight and that the tires had the typical air pressure that I ride. That is customer service! I never felt pressure and it was truly a pleasure doing business there. If you are in the market for a new or demo bike or just need service it is definitely worth the time to check them out. "Finally, a local bike shop that when you walk thru the front door you feel like a fellow biker not just a consumer. It was great swapping riding stories with them and a treat to test ride the new mountain bikes they had in their shop. My curent mountain bike felt sluggish and I thought it was time to replace my bike with a new one. After speaking with David (owner) and his crew, we decided to service the shock and get a full pro tune up. I can't thank the crew enough at River Mill Cycles for breathing new life back into my Cannondale Lefty. After the tune up, it was like riding a new bike (effortlessly fast & smooth). Ride on!"
