"Definitely a different experience. Seating was pretty cool. The whole setup was more than expected. BUT, don’t go to a movie theater and expect BBQ food to be on point. Stick to movie theater food expectations. They’re trying, but if you’re going to eat anything else there besides what movie theaters should have, don’t expect anything less than yuck. But don’t t let that stop you from trying this place. Definitely worth trying out and making your permanent movie gig."

"Great promotions and very comfortable seats. On Tuesdays, admission is only $5 and if you join their rewards program, you also get free popcorn. On Friday, admission is $6 for seniors. You can order food and drinks delivered to the swing-in tray attached to your seat. POST PANDEMIC UPDATE: We went to see the new Harrison Ford movie. I don't know if they're still offering the same promotions, but the seats are still exceptionally comfortable. One change is that you order food and drinks as you come in and they're delivered during the coming attractions. They no longer send staff into the theater to take your order. Great sound system. Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny is highly recommended in addition to the theater."

"Movie tavern is the best spot for movies! Comfy recliner seats, good sized menu for seat delivered meals and snacks and friendly staff willing to help with what you need. The only critique I have is that there aren't many gluten free items so we usually have to order the same thing everyone we go."

"I’ve been going here for years I love MT! It’s the best theater around, bar none! Always very clean including the bathrooms. The food is decent. The staff are excellent very helpful and work hard. If you have an issue with food or anything else they are very quick to resolve it. The theaters are always clean and wiped down after every movie. Cannot say the same for regal. I love the reclining seats and the food and drink service. Their Tuesdays deals cannot be beat. I probably go to the movies 12-20x per year and in 2023 only 1-2 visits have been at other theaters. I am spoiled by MT we are so lucky to have 1 here."

"This was our first going to Movie Tavern. It’s quite a unique experience and elevates the traditional movie watching experience that we have back in Canada. Tickets are $12 unless going on a Tuesday where it is $6 a ticket. Comparable to Canadian theatre prices with conversion. The gentleman at the front counter was super nice and you could tell he took his job seriously - he was quick and professional. It was a bit confusing on how to get popcorn because there was no “Concession” area where you see the popcorn. You have to go to the bar to order your popcorn, get drinks and or order any food. Once you order they bring it right to you at your seats. The food/drinks are expensive but overall it was worth it. The movie was about to start and a concession runner came right up to us with everything. We ordered the chicken burger with fries, small popcorn and a water. The fries were well seasoned and the burger had good flavour. About what I would expect from a restaurant for the price. If you download the app you can order anything they sell while the movie is playing and they will bring it to you as well. The movie was great (Disneys Haunted Mansion). Overall we had a good time and would happily go back if we’re back in town."
