"While walking the path, I saw two dead cats stuck in the fencing at the waterline. Another orange cat which appeared to be shot in the head at the end of the footpath. Dead ducks, dead seagulls, dangerous debris and assorted decaying carcasses were strewn about. The osprey nests which were in the stadium lights were discarded when they changed the lighting. Thousands of parrots used to live in other stadium lights, sadly the birds and their nests are also gone. The park seems to be managed by rude teenagers who are more interested in texting on their phones than maintaining the park. People drive on the sidewalks, oblivious to pedestrians. If you're looking for a park to walk through and enjoy wildlife, go to the north shore, like port Washington. There they are diligent about the upkeep, appearance of their facilities and they care about the wildlife there.The county and the town seem to have given up on north woodmere park."
"This is not a crowded park. The walking paths need to be fixed and paved. Also, after a storm the walking paths have debris from Jamaica Bay!"
