Reviews
"Saw my son and misdiagnosed me illegally without any clinical information, evaluations, or speaking with me. Wrote a diagnosis i do not have in my son's record among other false information. I contacted NYS Office of Professions."
"My grandson has been going to Dr Aletkin for quite sometime and he loves going. He was never given or suggested to go on any meds. Dr. A said he really didn’t need to attend anymore sessions but my almost 7 year old grandson insists on continuing."
"I read his reviews from all the other sites and they say the same things. My experience, he doesn't like to be questioned about his methods, and gets rude with you once you do question him. Plus, just because I'm Chinese and speak broken English doesn't mean yelling loudly will help me understand anymore. What, yelling is the universal translator?!"
"Please don't send your child to this monster. He may appear kind and is intelligent throwing you off guard with his understanding of children. I had brought my son to seem him for 2 years. Instead of getting better he continued to recommend medication upon medication to treat my son's issues. I trusted Dr. Aletkin, I believed my son was not well, late development of ADHD and other learning issues. He would recommend more medications and after 1 year my son was so spaced out, and unnaturally calm for a 7 year old. At first I thought wow he is so mature for his age. After seeing Aletkin for a little over a year and many more medications my son was barley present. He was gone - he would sleep a lot and rarely talk. Just too removed from the world around him. Once my son turned 9 I felt like I needed to see another doctor. If I took my son off his medication he would act out - like an open gate all the horses were let lose. The other doctor recommended that I ween my son off these medications and explained that he felt my son was over medicated. He came to this determination after reading Dr. Aletkin's medical notes and evaluations. Today my son who is now 12 is off all these medications Dr. Aletkin's recommended and guess what - my son doesn't have ADHD. I find out he never had ADHD and Dr. Aletkin's evaluations report was so vague and incomplete coming to his determination that my son should be placed on ADHD medication. This doctor took away my son and could have seriously harmed my son brain with all the medications recommended. A real monster."
"If I took Dr. Aletkins advice my son would be on meds in February. He really pushes ADHD and scare tactics. Thankfully, I brought my son for two another opinions. Both doctors preformed a full evaluation: conclusion NO ADHD. Dr. Aletkins, told me all boys have ADHD it's a scientific fact and told me that he can prescribe meds but not in New York. When I asked him what does that mean he told me that outside of NY him can start my son on meds immediately. This guy seems fishy. Stay away from people like this they are snakes and should be evaluated."
