Reviews of Stokoe Farms
"Stokoe Farms, located in Scottsville, New York, is a family-owned farm with a rich history dating back to 1812. It began when Thomas Stokoe immigrated from Northumberland, England, and settled in the area. Today, the farm is operated by the 5th, 6th, and 7th generations of the Stokoe family and spans over 3,500 acres in Wheatland, Caledonia, Avon, and Rush. The farm is known for offering a wide range of activities for all ages and abilities, and it hosts three major events throughout the year: the Sunflower Festival in late summer, the Harvest Festival from mid-September to October, and the Christmas Tree Season from late November to December. During the Sunflower Festival, visitors can enjoy a display of 50,000 blooms, along with access to various activities, animals, and games. The Harvest Festival is particularly notable for its inclusion of train rides, zip lines, jumping pillows, a low ropes course, and a corn maze that changes every year. For the Christmas season, Stokoe Farms offers a traditional experience with both U-Cut and Pre-Cut Christmas trees, as well as fresh wreaths and arrangements. There are also special encounters with animals like Joey Kangaroos, tortoises, armadillos, and wallabies, adding a unique touch to the holiday experience. Apart from these seasonal events, the farm provides numerous other attractions and activities, such as a pumpkin patch, hayrides, petting zoo, and various outdoor challenges. It's a popular destination for family outings, school tours, and group events. Stokoe Farms is committed to sustainability, operating with 76 solar panels since 2014, which helps them maintain an environmentally friendly approach. This dedication to preserving nature and providing an array of activities makes it a cherished location for visitors seeking an authentic farm experience."
"Went for the first time for a Christmas tree after going to 3 separate local farms. Drove about 40 minutes and it was absolutely worth it. Kids had a great time, the trees were 1000x better than any of the ones we saw around us. The included tractor ride was a nice touch since they have 100 acres to walk around while finding the perfect tree. The little animal experience was awesome even for us adults getting to pet and hold kangaroos, armadillos, bunnies, capybara and more. I looked at the 1 star reviews left by people and they are absolutely ridiculous, ignore them, trust me. This place is well worth it, best tree farm I've ever been too and do plan on returning every year. Keep up the good work!"
"It was fun, a lot to do, I loved the animals! Everything was quite expensive though. The only extra stuff we did was face painting, feed the animals $7 for a small cup, eat, and go to the gift shop just to get cider and fudge. Ended up spending $300 for 3 kids. That was some really good cider though!"
"For 20 bucks, are you kidding me! My daughter told us about this place, so my wife and daughter and grandson and myself took a ride out from Lancaster and what a great time. The places around us charge extra for EVERYTHING. I mean for 20 dollars this place rocks. Plenty of things to do for the little folks and teenagers as well. Just about everything is included. We brought our own cooler on wheels with snacks and drinks. The best value is the online 20 dollar ticket. My grandson was running for 5 hrs straight having a ball. Lots to do. Highly recommend."
"Always fun. This has been my 11th year now and have watched Stokoe Farm grow and expand into this awesome seasonal kid and family friendly fall experience. I know the cost of admission has risen but it still a great place to make some great family memories. It is a fall destination, there is pumpkin picking, corn maze, fresh apple cider donuts and many kids activities. They have zip lines, tall slides, 3 wheel bicycle racing. You can ride on the tractor trolley for free to you destination or you can walk. Your kids will sleep well tonight."
