"Quiet, affordable apartments close to town. Management has been responsive to our requests, showing up in a day or two to fix our garbage disposal and cabinet. The apartment is large and nice inside with good sized balconies on the 2bed 2bath. The only issue is they only accept payment by check."
"Believe me when I say this apartment complex's management deserves negative stars. Here is the information you need to make an informed decision about choosing to live here or saving yourself from a major headache and choosing elsewhere. To start, the complex is lovely on the exterior. I lived in one of the few townhomes here for 4.5 years. I truly enjoyed my time here when I did not have to get involved with management. My neighbors were friendly, we all looked out for each other, and noise issues were not much of a problem. Now that being said, here's why despite the community and environment, you should choose somewhere...anywhere else to live. Management (Heather Sizemore) is a joke; there are no designated office hours, there is no direct communication with the "landlord/manager" unless it's through text or email. The manager doesn't answer phone calls; there is no backup help for the manager if she happens to be out of town for an extended period. During my 4.5 years living here, I never once had a face-to-face meeting with Heather, never received a copy of my signed lease agreement, or received any communication from Heather besides a letter taped to my door from time to time. Sometimes the letters weren't even tapped, just laid on the ground, and I'm honestly amazed none of them blew away in the wind. Because there were no designated office hours, you never knew when Heather would be on-site, but importantly, you never knew when your rent check would be cashed. Sometimes it was over a month before a rent check was cashed; often, they didn't cash checks for at least ten days after the due date. Another communication issue is the lack of warning when anything on the property will be worked on. We received no notice when the parking area was resealed, merely told the day before to move our cars, and we received no warning when the roofs were being re-shingled except for hammering at 8 am. Finally, the biggest issue I ever had while living here was getting a landlord verification form filled out before I moved to a different state. I and my new property management office tried for a month to get ahold of Heather so she could fill out a form with six questions on it and sign it. First two weeks, we did not receive a response. Then my roommate tried reaching out to Heather (on a separate matter) and received an email stating that she was out of town and would not be returning until the 5th of that month. Then, a week later, after the 5th, Heather told me that she would not be back until the 11th. At this point, I admittedly became frustrated because, after weeks of trying, I was about to lose my new apartment. After all, they couldn't hold it for that long. According to my new property management team, Heather was exceedingly rude to them as well, they shared the email communications between her and them with me. Eventually, they compromised on the landlord verification because they and I were tired of dealing with her. So a word of warning to the wise, if you don't mind the lack of communication, the lack of office hours, never knowing when your rent checks will be cashed, and general unprofessionalism from your landlord, you might have found the right place for you! Sure it might be decently priced for JC, but you get what you pay for in these situations. I would advise you to look elsewhere...anywhere else."
"HERE’S YOUR WARNING! I was originally attracted to this apartment complex because the neighborhood is beautiful, and the apartments have character. HOWEVER, I moved out as soon as my lease was up because management is absolutely non-existent, and when it is finally available, the manager responds back via text as if you’re bothering her. Short responses with attitude, even for a simple request to get a copy of the lease or bill statement. The parent company Silver Creek Development LLC should without-a-doubt replace the property manager. Her name is Heather, and she shows absolutely no professionalism. If your conversation doesn’t have to do with “money,” you’re sure to be ignored. So if you’re an individual who cares about the quality of management at your residence, I’d exclude this place from your list of prospective places to live. She made everything an uphill battle - even for the smallest requests. You’ve been warned!"
"EXTREMELY Rude, lazy and unprofessional p.o.s. manager/landlord!!! I don't know what her issue is but she's never on property, prefers to text, never follows up on messages and rarely fulfills her duties as a landlord. Forget getting cooperative assistance if ever you need paperwork filled out or documentation for ANYTHING. Accused numerous tenants of being noisy and threatened to kick them out less than 2 weeks of living there without investigation of complaints to find out if even true. She only cares about money... seriously, not an iota of concern for quality of living. Maintenance is incompetent and rude as well. STAY CLEAR!!"
"I have lived here approx. 14 months. The community is very quiet, landscaping is nice and the tenants/neighbors are very friendly. The maintenance guys are quick to make repairs and to replace things such as air filters, non-functioning microwaves etc. The complex is in a desirable location. It’s close to the mall, shopping centers and many restaurants. The only thing lacking is there is no workout facility and the pool is a little small but that’s shouldn’t be a deal breaker."
