Holiday Inn Express & Suites Florence I-95 @ Hwy 327, an IHG Hotel South Carolina 327, Florence, SC 29506

"We have stopped at this location prior to our stay last night, and the maintenance and upkeep was much better than our stay was last night. The front entrance and hallway clearly had something spilled and people just tracked through and the floor was black and sticky. The elevators were not clean. Our bathroom was clean, but definitely not to the standards of any other HI Express we have stayed at. The toilet seat was very loose, and the toilet continued to run unless we “jiggled” the handle. The rooms have been upgraded, but the carpet was stained and not vacuumed. The breakfast buffet was not good today. Everything was lukewarm or cold. Coffee was cold and terrible. The tables to sit at had not been cleaned in between guests. Carol, who checked us in was great!! She has excellent customer service skills and a great personality!! But it seems the breakfast buffet staff, housekeeping & maintenance staff just do not pay attention to the details. We will likely stay at a different location in the Fall when we come through."

"Staff is remarkable and courteous. Breakfast is more than I expected. Loved the options. Would have liked to have had the opportunity to try the cinnamon rolls, I guess they either didn't make them or don't replenish them. The cook could definitely use some pointers like... just because you have sausage gravy beside the biscuits doesn't mean the biscuits should be served hard or as brown as toast. Don't burn the egg omelets. If you're not going to replace the hot food items, at least keep the milk, cereal, oatmeat/grits packets, and fruit stocked. That's basic continental breakfast 101. The pancake maker is helpful when it's full and you're not getting silver dollar sized pancakes. Not everyone cleans up after themselves, so it would've been helpful to have some cleaning wipes for the tables near and available."

"Went to breakfast at 815. Hours are until 930. There was no hot food left! I notified the staff and was told she would let them know. 15 minutes later I checked if any food was available and overheard staff telling another guest it would be 10 to 15 minutes. By the time I was able to eat a hot meal it had been over 45 minutes. As of this review it's been nearly an hour and I've just finished my meal. Unacceptable IHG"

"Very nice hotel at a reasonable price. The people working the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, and was plenty big for 2 people for one night. Very quiet, which is great as I am a light sleeper. Bedding was comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Wifi did all I needed for it to do. I do not eat breakfast at hotels, so I cannot tell you about the offerings there. There was some dog treats on the floor, so a little better sweeping would help."

"After driving from Maryland, to Florida. We booked a room with the Holiday Express. 1/2 way in Florence. We were so tired. The INN, Very clean, fresh, and comfortable. The room, the mattress, the pillows, like home were so comfortable. And so clean. Breakfast was very nice in the morning and we did enjoy the warm biscuits, sausage gravy with the small egg and cheese omelette’s already made. Again it was clean. And if was good! The coffee and juice topped it off. We will return. I highly recommend/."
