Based on my experience—she successfully delivered my twins naturally, without a C-section—I can honestly say she provided excellent care, making a significant difference during this crucial time."
"This doctor office changes appointment time without notifying the patient. I was scheduled for a late afternoon appointment and confirmed the time two weeks ago. Somehow, magically, it got changed to an earlier appointment time without any notification or asking me if that’s okay before they change the time. This happened multiple times. And waiting time is extremely long even if you make an appointment. Very unprofessional and no respect of the patient’s time and schedule. Unacceptable!"
"I have to say Dr. Chou is an amazing doctor, she delivered my first child with no complications and she is very professional. Since my first child I have changed my insurance and now have commercial insurance, I called the office to schedule an appointment but was told they dont accept my insurance. I cancelled my commercial insurance to apply for Healthfirst Medicaid just so I can be her patient. I was told to bring a letter confirming I cancelled my work insurance. I obtained the letter and even applied for emergency Medicaid. I called the office as I am now 5 weeks pregnant and have some bleeding, I needed to follow up with Dr. Chou after being in the hospital. The employee tells me they cannot see me as I have to call Medicaid to delete my commercial insurance from their website?!!. I don't have commercial insurance now at all and I even offered to do self pay . She replied back "we cannot see you". I asked to speak with her husband who works at the front desk and was told no. I asked to speak with her and I was told I cant. I am very disappointed and upset by this as I feel like I did something personal towards her. nevertheless, you cannot force a provider to take you as a patient. I will find a new OB-GYN. Most of the reviews are regarding the front desk and not Dr. Chou. If you are looking for a compassionate, caring physician for your baby she is the one. Thank you Dr. Chou for my first delivery and if you are upset with me in any way I apologize."
"Can’t agree more. The front desk guy James is horrible. He use a fake calm voice tone to upset patient. He , as a front desk person, is not friendly nor helpful at all. I had a very unpleasant experience when I do my annual check. When I chat with James during my registration process for the first time visiting. He caught that I would ask a question to the doc and he used this as a excuse to charge me $50 for copay as a separate visit fee, which is extremely unreasonable. And his attitude is horrible. He was smiling and telling me If I am not satisfied with this charge I can just walk out. I traveled all the way down to Flushing and planed ahead everything a few weeks in ahead, how could I just walk away without seeing the doc. So I made the payment. A few month later, my insurance company paid everything for my bill. And I called James for refunding my $50. He was fine returning my money but he refused to make any alternatives other then I come to the office in person to pick up the check. The clinic only opens on weekdays and close at 5pm. I told him I work full time and doesn’t have the availability to pick the check up. I asked nicely if he can mailed it to me and I pay for the shipping. All he telling me was that they don’t like to do the shipping and when I have a chance just come in to pick it up. He was not listening. He kept repeating their address and office hours after I clearly tell him I am NOT AVAILABLE to pick up the check. That's very pushy and all he want is hang up the call without doing anything helpful. His attitude made me so angry and upset. I don’t want to go back nor see him anymore even I like doctor Chou."
"Worst doctor office ever! I wish there could be negative rating, but it’s not. One star is still too much. I was born and raised in a country that everyone respect doctors Even when they are not that professional or nice, we still respect them. But this doctor, nurse, and staff deserve the worst review. Their eyes focus only on making money instead of providing good medical service. Incredibly long line. They tell you to come at 4 p.m., I wait till almost 7 p.m. And it was not just me. Other patient waiting beside me told me the same thing. Rude , disrespectful and incompetent staff, both the old guy and the lady. They are impatient, and never listen to what you are saying. Doctor sucks too! At first, she was fine. But later on, she schedule tons of tests, which she claims that they are normal pregnancy tests through out the USA. Ok, that fine. Those tests she claims that should be covered by the insurance, but I still get a huge bill. The insurance agent told me that some of the tests are not fully covered by my plan. I don’t know what’s the miscommunication between them. As a customer, I have every right to know if I need to pay for a specific test or not, how much I need to pay BEFORE I take the test. So that I can decide that if I could afford the cost or not. Who the hell knows what kind of test thy are running when they put needles in my blood vessel to suck out those blood and sent to the lab. The first time I brought my bill to the office, she still told me that those tests are covered."
