"I just had the worst gyno experience. The woman Who runs the practice Shahnoz Rustamuva didn’t even ask what was going on, seemed mad at me for wanting the IUD out, asked me what my plan was after this, “to get pregnant”? Besides arriving at 1:35 for a 1:45 appointment, and then waiting in a freezing room with no pants on until 2;30...I was immediately met with coldness, as if she was mad at me for getting the IUD removed. She barely asked questions or try to come up with other options with me, then taunted that I was going to get pregnant for making this decision, after telling her the pain and anguish the copper IUD was doing to me. She then shoved the metal thing inside me and it was hurting really bad and she yelled at me for it as I started crying and was not gentle by any means, I told her I was nervous and she gave me a second, then immediately pulled it out, slammed the device and the IUD down in the sink, and slammed the door behind her. Nothing else was said. I walked out but then decided to go back to tell her what she did was so awful, I didn’t feel safe, I didn’t care if she was in a bad mood, and I’m never going there again. I have been there to see her around 7 times this year. That was definitely my last. It’s not okay to taunt your patients when something isn’t okay with the form of birth control inserted. I gave it a couple months, and wanted to have a conversation about other natural or less painful options, or at least what my side effects would be for the rest of the day given I just had an IUD removed and was extremely nervous to begin with. The fact I was a returning patient was incredibly hurtful and I am still so angry at her for that treatment. Based on other reviews on ZocDoc and all over the web, she makes a habit out of this bedside manner. Going to the gyno is extremely vulnerable, and she is NOT the person for that and is the least warm, most condescending, incredibly rude person I’ve ever come across. I can’t imagine if that was someone’s first visit to her or to the gyno at all...if I hadn’t been there so many times already I would have been more traumatized, and I already am from this experience. Nothing from my end provoked this treatment. If anything I hope she’d recognize me from being a loyal patient. DO NOT go to her. I’ve never felt more unsafe or uncared for in doctor’s care."
"While the doctor had a decent bedside manner, the charges that were billed my insurance were absolutely exorbitant. Even though I have extremely good insurance, I was shocked by the bill. I can't imagine how high the bill would have been if I hadn't had good insurance."
"I have been a patient of Dr. Rustamova's for almost 10 years. She and her staff are extremely thorough and professional. I highly recommend her and have only heard of positive experiences."
"I went to this OBGYN in June to switch my medication, after waiting a while I was seen by a PA who tried incredibly hard to have me pay for a very expensive procedure even though the results of this scan would have no influence on my treatment plan, which the PA agreed with multiple times so it made no sense why she kept pushing this. All of this was minor until the past month of so when I continue to try and refill my prescription. I called their office about two months ago to authorize a refill. Their office authorized a refill for the medication I was allergic to! The medication I went to switch at my first visit! I keep trying to call back calling about 15 or so more times within the past month and no one has gotten back to me. Basically if you want bad staff, bad service, and allergic reactions to medication, go here."
"Everything seems okay here, but: If you go here CHECK. YOUR. BILLING. They've continuously billed me little fees (by little I mean $50-$100) here and there for completely shady reasons. I've run the bills past professional medical billers at other doctor offices and even they can't comprehend how they're getting away with what they do. Example: charging for a doctor visit when I never saw a doctor ... she wasn't even in the building at the time. That is FRAUD. Example: Charging $450 for ONE HPV injection, reason - you haven't met your deductible yet. That bill included 6 separate charges for the one injection visit. I have reported them to the insurance company for fraudulent charges. Be careful."
