"the dr ignored my multiple requests for a birth control refill for 10 days. being out of medication after the 10 days, i called and the refill dept put an escalation on my request. i called back later and they told me to wait 24 hours. i call back in 24 hours and she cancelled the prescription because I haven’t seen her in a year. My health insurance that I had at the time only covered 1 OBGYN check up per every 2 years - but they refused to transfer me over to her and just said that there’s no way the dr would refill it since I haven’t seen her in a year. So, 3 days now without medication, Inused GoodRX online service, paid about $40 and got my prescription filled within an hour. So, why would a dr refuse to refill a medication that’s meant to be accessible? The lack of compassion was upsetting and I couldn’t get through to her office everytime I tried ( and the refill dept and scheduling dept claimed they could not transfer me) They asked me do I want to schedule an appointment - WHY would I want to schedule another appointment with someone who is leaving me high and dry with no medication? and not even a courtesy call to let me know that I wouldn’t be getting a refill. But $40 on GoodRX fixed my problem….smh. We’re humans not numbers! When I saw the dr, she seemed nice enough, but it’s all the same once you get into the system."
