"Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical group IN MY LIFE. I would give zero stars if I could.. Was made to wait 11 months for an appointment and was called THE WEEK BEFORE and told that they cancelled my appointment. Zero explanation was given and my only options were to wait another 13 months (!!!!) for an appointment or wait 4 months to see a Nurse (which I could’ve done 11 months ago if I wanted). If the office was honest and communicative and told me at literally any earlier time that the dr is not taking new clients or that they don’t have space to see me I could’ve gone and found someone else. I feel taken advantage of, disposed of, and completely discouraged. Wonderful way to feel about woman’s health… shame on you!!!!!!!!"

"The doctors are great. I’m not sure how to explain being kept on hold and being forgotten many many times when I press their number key to speak to a medical staff ! And unresponsiveness to questions and messages on their app especially during Covid time."

"I delivered my first son via c-section at Phelps with Dr. Mendelowitz. I liked him very much even though I was unhappy with the outcome of my delivery. No hard feelings towards the doctors whatsoever. I decided to use the practice again when I was pregnant with my second son however I wound up transferring out of the practice because they decidedly were not VBAC friendly. If you are seeking a VBAC, try Northern Westchester Hospital instead. It is unacceptable to me that they wouldn’t “allow me” to go into labor. This is against ACOG practices. My body my choice and I chose to go elsewhere."

"Dr. DiStefano has been such a blessing to me. From the very first time I met her, I felt comfortable under her care. She is extremely thorough, detailed, caring, and honest throughout all visits. I love how she looks at me in the eyes and is never distracted while speaking to me; even during the busiest of times. She delivered my baby girl back in February 2018. Her calming demeanor, her encouraging words, her gentle touch, and massive amount of knowledge in the field made me feel extremely comfortable as I knew I was in excellent hands. Even though the labor and delivery unit was very busy during my stay, Dr. DiStefano came into my room each and every time I needed her with complete focus on my care. She taught me different breathing techniques and positions which helped me tremendously to achieve my goal of having an unmedicated birth. She always communicated with me what was about to happen in a calm manner, which helped me feel at ease during such a physically painful time. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. DiStefano. She is a true gem in her field! I highly recommend her."
