Reviews of Elizabeth Kermis, DO
"Dr Kermis was incredible throughout my entire pregnancy. She answered every question and helped ease my anxiety as a first time mom. She is so honest, open, caring, warm, and knowledgeable. She is the reason I got through my pregnancy and wouldn’t want to use anybody else. I had such an amazing C-section experience 100% because of her."
"I cannot begin to say enough great things about dr.kermis! I originally started at a practice where she was second dr. Unfortunately, I ended up with a large subchorionic hemorrhage(SCH) behind my placenta and marked as high risk while being put on modified bed rest. Dr.Kermis was able to answer all my questions honestly and most importantly, on my level/life outlook. She also caught my preeclampsia, even though the strips weren’t showing collective urine proteins. She caught it because she listened! She informed me that if we could make it, our goal was induction at 37w. The other dr wanted me to go at 38w+ and deliver at a hospital that had no nicu, and had just opened a COVID’s wing(4/2020). Due to blood incompatibility, we would need 2w of lights for jaundice, that hospital would have sent her to childrens. My body was done and 37w felt impossible. But it wasn’t, and because of her, we made it. I labored for days and was allowed meals (on her orders) and thankfully was able to have a med free childbirth. We delivered at sisters and all the nurses and drs raved about her! She became mine and my husband’s rock during pregnancy. After delivery, while still in the hospital, I ended up with kidney stones :( I was immediately seen and given proper medication to ease them. She really is my favorite dr person. I’d recommend her to anyone! She helped give me my favorite person!"
"Terrible. My wife was looking for an obgyn to guide us and deliver our first child. She met with this person and felt comfortable. I was not allowed to attend the first two appointments due to covid. The third appointment I attended and didn’t feel very confident in this person- she seemed less than engaging and perhaps a bit aloof. My wife was so busy and stressed I didn’t mention it and so we ended up continuing with her. Long story short- she forced my 35 year old wife, in fantastic health, to induce a week early due to ‘slightly elevated blood pressure’. We monitored her bp for months- it was right in the normal zone. The dr insisted we induce a week early. We went in to the hospital Tuesday evening and only saw this dr on Saturday after the residents on duty botched the inducement and we had to have a c section. She showed up ten minutes before the c section. Stayed just till we were back in the recovery room. It was the only time she came to the hospital. We were told to schedule a follow up appointment “as soon as possible “. So the Wednesday following our c section my wife called to make the appointment. The office told her “you better come in right away - the dr is going on vacation next week.” So, I drove my wife, who was in great pain, to the office- only to be told by the person at the desk, “it’s too soon for the doctor to see you”. I was upset- and said “you’re kidding right? You told us to come’. She said she would go in the back and ask the doctor. The doctor refused to see us- knowing my wife was in the building and in pain and made the trip there due to they’re error. This only confirmed that this dr is uncaring at best and undermined our faith in what she put us through. Another doctor we spoke to suggested that maybe she forced us to induce a week early because she was going on vacation! My wife tried making another follow up appointment and dr kermis refused to see her at all- my wife is being forced to see a doctor she never met and wasn’t there for her procedure."
