"This is a historically restored movie theater. That shows more sophisticated films. Those being of International origin, the occasional classic American films of yesteryear and wonderful Animation films from abroad as well. The atmosphere in the theater dates back to the 1920's with restored plaster motifs and beautifully cleaned up original paintings in classical romanisque vaulted ceilings. Go there early not only to enjoy the films offered, but to gaze and appreciate all the splendor this theater has to offer to the movie goer. Lights,camera...roll film!"
"A lovely theater with enormous history. It has been beautifully restored and provides such a hallmark way to enjoy a great film."
"Great old-time theater! Loved that there is still an actual human being selling and collecting tickets, instead of a sealed off window with an iPad strapped to it! And the snacks at the snack shop included Japanese candies and delicious, freshly made popcorn. Will be back soon!!"
"Such a beautiful space! Perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon. Mattinees are only $10, seats are comfortable, and the theater has been beautifully restored and preserved. Popcorn was fresh and has real butter which was killer. Found cheap street parking very close by."
"A HIDDEN GEM. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a private yet classy date night. This local theater stole our hearts with its historic charm. It felt like we took a time machine back in time and we loved every second of it. From the timeless interior with paintings on the ceiling to the memorable lights in the front, this has been our favorite date in months! Will definitely be coming back soon!"
