"is there any krump class?"
"So my sister actually attended the summer session in 2019. I opted out of writing a google review at the time because I was dealing directly with her school. Two years later my sister is asking to go to a place that does the same activities as spoke the hub but with “nicer people” as she puts it. We learned about them through her school who thought this would be a great opportunity being that they gave a scholarship as well. Not only did they kick her out for behavior ( behavior that was totally out of her character, that me or her teachers or anyone else who knows her have never experienced with her) but when I asked for a meeting and was given the run around. Now I wanted to meet with the teachers who experienced this behavior because this was never ever reported to me not even by them when I picked her up. Everyday I would ask how she did today and they would say she did great no complaints and then one day I got a notice that she was being removed. Now she had also experienced questioning about her ethnicity etc by children that made her feel uncomfortable and the staff made no attempt to make her feel more at home. At the time she was the only Afro-Latino student and when I asked I was told that they treated everyone the same and they didn’t know what I was talking about. Now I am a firm believer in educating all kids about the people around them and the ones they will encounter and making all children feel safe and welcomed. It pained my sister to be kicked out of the program and she felt like it was because she was an outsider. Now I understand she was on a scholarship but shouldn’t all the kids be treated with respect ? I am Not happy with this place at all and her school was enraged as well I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone I know after this experience and neither would her school from our conversations."
"I can’t believe this magical place doesn’t have dozens of more 5 star reviews! My older daughter attended classes here with Teacher Sarah, an energetic talented teacher who has a way with kids. The space is really something with that huge skylight. The kids really love it here!"
"Awesome people and place to train in Dance, Karate..etc"
"Fantastic staff and teachers all around. Love doing classes in this creative environment. No expertise necessary to join in just a will to have fun! Thursday lunch class is challenging and a great way to exercise in the middle of the day. Cardio dancing, weights, balls, strength training. It's got it all as well as a lovely group to exercise with. There's so much at Spoke, you just need to dive in and get going!"
