"My experience with MVP Insurance has been extremely disappointing. My doctor prescribed a Glucose monitoring sensor, which was prior authorized by MVP. However, when I went to Byram Healthcare to obtain it, I was informed that I would have to pay $600 per month until I reached my deductible. Surprisingly, when I inquired about purchasing it without using MVP's deductible, the cost dropped to $150 per month. This situation implies that if I choose to use my deductible, I would end up paying almost $450 extra each month, which I find to be highly unfair. Despite reaching out to customer service, the response remained consistent with this policy. I strongly advise against opting for MVP Insurance as an employee, given the considerable financial burden it imposes. Overall, it's not a recommended choice for employees seeking fair and reasonable insurance options."
"As an employee of a small group, I pay almost $2000 a month for a family plan. I am on only one medication which I have been on for 20+ yrs. This medication is essential to my daily health, but requires prior authorization every year. It's denied every year, then requires a doctor to medical director consultation EVERY YEAR. It takes over a week and consistently ends with me being out of medication and having to pay out of pocket for at least a week. You would think at $24,000 a year they could do more for patients and/or physicians. But I know from experience that they keep cutting physician reimbursement rates too. Nice to know the share holders are still getting their cut."
"Tried to stay on the line and complete the phone survey, but the line cut out. Had a GREAT experience with Ms. Reed and Raphael in customer service today. They were very helpful in discussing a systems/cldim issue with me and are working to resolve it. I felt understood and listened to. Thanks to both of them!!!"
"So I signed up for their managed Medicaid plan and it was going to be active on December 1st of 2022. Although it says it covers emergency services, basic dental, and gives coverage on primary care, I still get bills every month which are at full price with no coverage! I’ve even waited three weeks for my new Insurance ID card in the mail and called after 14 days and the operator said “it’s on its way still. Please contact us if it dosent arrive in 14 more days.” It’s now been another week and I’m still waiting for it. I have no Emergency services coverage, no medication coverage (which I know involves a $1 co pay) and no dental coverage at any of the appointments I went to when they all take MVP Medicaid plans and I gave them the MVP Medicaid # I was given by the lady on the phone. Honestly this is horrible insurance because they don’t do anything they say in their plan and even if you sign up and get ‘insured’ you basically get no coverage at all! Honestly I’m very angry that I signed up and keep getting these bills that should be covered by my plan when it was to be active on December 1st! Worst insurance I’ve ever had!"
