"They changed Member IDs on January 1, 2024 and NEVER let us know. THAT's why I couldn't register on their NEW website. I spent countless hours emailing and calling them and NO ONE had a clue what's going on but ONE customer service representative Rebecca (THANK YOU, Rebecca!) who finally told me that my Member ID was changed and gave me a new one. Given all the reviews here, all Healthplex and their IT Web department management needs to be FIRED on the spot!"
"One star because there is no ZERO rating, and the public needs to be warned. Don't waste your time with "Healthplex"; I was unable to find a provider that accepts this plan. Although 25 are listed in my area, not one wants to work with "Healthplex". Four of these providers have been trying for over two years to get their names removed from the provider listing, and six of them aren't in practice anymore. Don't call customer service—a representative will get all the appropriate information and claim to be transferring you to the person who handles your question. You'll only have to repeat the process over and over again; customer service is just a game of round robin. It's just another scam "insurance" company preying on the elderly and less fortunate."
"Had just contacted my Dentist office where the receptionist was kind enough in providing me this phone number to get ahold of someone through, (what I assumed) was still the Dental insurance, Healthplex. However, when calling this number to be told by another receptionist, that the Dental insurance Healthplex has been switched over to United Healthcare...Mind you, I had never been notified of this transition through the mail...At least now I know, that I still have the benefits I need/have my needed coverage but, still..I would have appreciated some kind of notice prior. Moreover, I am providing the rating for this Dental insurance to be 2 stars when I believe they can do a much better job than this..."
"Okay man where do I start. I got my braces when I graduated high school and now I’m graduating college. I noticed when I would go to the dentist that they always would tell me that my insurance was terminated and I was confused. Sometimes the insurance would cover appointments or I would have to pay $103 out of pocket sometimes. I’m 21 rn I’ve been working my butt off since 17 and I would say I’ve paid out of pocket $1000 while being a dependent under my Dads insurance. Why? It’s 2024 January and I called myself to figure out why this is the case and why my insurance is always being terminated. Then they tell me that they are switching over to United or something like that. Are you serious? What kind of company does things like that and doesn’t like customers know before hand. They send my Dad a card saying to use it when I go to the dentist and when I go same result. Now like I said I’m about to graduate college with these braces stuck in my mouth and have to pay out of pocket $700 for retainers and I don’t have the money for it. It’s honestly frustrating for real how is this fair this feels so illegal. I don’t know what to do."
"One of the worse transitions I've experienced. I dealt with 4 different staff associates and none of them followed up or called back. The manager was ineffective in giving a answer other than perhaps you can call and try getting through on your own. Hourly United Health takes over completely and provides better service"
