"Are union is thankfully switching to bluecross.magnacare cut off my coverage while i was on disability.authrized an mri then didn't pay for it. stalled on the authorization for an mri so when the switch occured they didn't;t have to pay.they sent out an approval letter 2 days before the switch."

"This has to be among the most dishonorable, despicable, and unprofessional companies on the face of the earth. Their employees seem to genuinely take delight in escalating and exacerbating situations for people who are already suffering some of their most troubling and tumultuous times in their entire lives. Do not fall for the feigned concern in the review response promising attention once information is shared via email either. It's purely for show. They will not follow up. They will not and do not honor their promises and will flat out lie at whatever cost. I do not believe there is a single employee of this company that has even an ounce of integrity."

"It’s nearly impossible to call them. Their automated system is terrible and they don’t like paying for services that you pay monthly for. It’s somewhat better than not having insurance but not by much."

"I’ve tried many times to contact this fraudulent company. Most recently they totally denied my claim for preventive services which should be covered under my plan. Over the past two years I’ve had them I have gotten exactly 0 benefit! Either the offices won’t accept them ( I wonder why), the copayments are as much as getting the services without insurance, or they deny legitimate claims. If I don't get a written explanation as to why my claim was denied I will be taking this to court, as many other reviewers seem to have in mind. Perhaps a class action will help them to correct their unethical practices."

"Allowed care to lapse for a client of mine for two weeks because they kept misplacing the clinicals I faxed for review. Sent them 3 times, and were only received when the pre certification worker gave me her individual fax number. Disgusting lack of care."
