"Great place to learn Muay Thai & workout. You get your money’s worth. Instructors, like Joel know what they’re doing & push you to go beyond your limits. Not a very athletic person myself, but the sessions here greatly improved my endurance and toned my body."
"Extremely friendly and welcoming coaches. But i would not recommend this gym if you want to actually learn muay thai. I attended 24 classes here and in 21 of them we did NOTHING but conditioning. I understand how important conditioning is to martial arts as I've been to different schools for over 4 years, however, the main reason we are here is to learn a skill. Not work out. The gym itself is very nice and again, the coaches were extremely welcoming, but I was not happy with continuous classes doing nothing but conditioning as that's not what I signed up for. 3 stars solely on the condition of the gym and the friendliness of the coaches. The actual classes rate a 2 star. Muay thai gym. Not conditioning. Classes need to reflect that."
"Gold standard Muay Thai Gym.. Aziz, Joel, and Elliott are the most motivating coaches that do not hesitate to pull you to the side to give you tips to improve you training weather it's padwork, hitting the heavy bag, or sparring. Great emphasis on cardio that raises your training threshold to new limits. Extremely welcoming to new members such as myself to make me feel part of the family. Great for men, women, and offers an amazing kids class as well. Such a pleasure to be a member."
"5 STARS! I have been a member of Sitan Gym for about 3 years and I have absolutely have loved my time with them. The staff are true professionals and make you feel like you are a member of their family. Sitan not only gets you in great physical shape but also is great for your mental health, a great stress reliever. The classes are fun and challenging and I recommend to everyone of all ages! 5 STARS!"
"Sitan gym is located up in Astoria and is a great Muay Thai spot near Long Island City. It's been open for over twenty years and the experience of the staff really shows. Head instructor Aziz Nabih is a long time resident of New York City and has a storied amount of experience behind him. He has spent a lot of time in Dutch style kickboxing and is also connected with Sitsongpeenong in Thailand. Sittichai Sitsongpeenong, the multiple Kickboxing and Muay Thai champion trains out of Sitan when he comes to America and Nabih has helped him with his boxing. Nabih's students including Eddie Cuello, Thiago Azeredo and Rami Ibrahim have all gone on to open solid schools in Long Island, Arizona, and Philadelphia. Nabih also has a large current fight team including Jessica Ng who is slated to fight in the 2018 Pan American games. He's also served as a coach on the USMF (United States Muay Thai Federation) which is pushing Muay Thai into the Olympics. The gym itself is small but has dedicated trainers and people. Under Nabih's guidance this spot is a diamond in the rough."
