"Great team of instructors! Patient, friendly, helpful, & kind. It wasn’t the best weather and our son was not feeling comfortable at all. The team was very supportive, our son got in the water, caught waves, & overcame his fear. Highly recommend for some family memories, even in the rain!"
"My son attended camp for a week, and we saw improvement immediately. It was because the instructors knew how to simplify surfing due to their own experiences. How to get past mental blocks. How to make incremental improvements. I had one day of camp myself, and felt well taken care of - safety, encouragement, little nudges where needed. By second half of the day I was feeling more confident. Great group of people! We will come back for sure."
"Another great summer at NY Surf School. My kids have been taking lessons with Amanda and are doing great! They love her and she’s an inspiration to them. The owner Frank is great, too! Highly recommend this local business!"
"On day 1 there was an incoming storm so I couldn't learn much but the instructors tried really hard to teach us and give us an experience. On day two I was able to practice getting on the outside and paddling. On day 3 I stood up a few times on the board and it was way more fun. Felipe was my favorite, he took the time to pull me to the side and show me his way and it made a big difference. He also showed me how to make it to the outside with less drama. With one other instructor I got hit with other peoples boards four times so I would definitely suggest if that happens to you, just learn to go out on your own. It really is about the timing and taking in all the little tips to get better and better. I think the instructors give good feedback and get you surfing pretty quickly. Check out magical seaweed for wave forecast before you book and look for 2 foot waves.. Much better learning experience."
"Amazing experience!! They took such great care of our group and we had a ton of fun! So accommodating to different levels of comfort and interest!!! I took a lesson a couple years ago with them and it was awesome and they did not disappoint this next time around!"
