"My kids and I have found a warm, rich, diverse community at the World Martial Arts Center for the past five years! My daughter started training first, at age 5. Now 10, she has persevered through ups and downs, including days when she wanted to quit. Sabumnim David Herbert, the founder and grandmaster of the school, has a gift for knowing when kids (and adults!) need to be encouraged and when they need to be pushed. There is a full team of remarkable instructors, with combined decades of martial arts experience, who volunteer their time teaching at the school because it is such a unique place. I love that on any given day, you can find people on the mat from age 5 to 75, of all backgrounds, sizes, and levels of experience, and that each is getting the support they need for their personal journey.
