"Jeremy was an excellent, patient teacher with my friend's 11 year old who had dreamt of learning how to surf at a nearby beach. However, the girl's mother doesn't know how to swim and had barred the little girl from the ocean. Jeremy was able to talk to the mother, assuage her fears, and bring me and the entire family down to the beach for a lesson. He started the surf lesson by standing on the beach for 10 or so minutes, explaining to the girl how to watch for rip currents, figure out where the waves were breaking and other hazards. Once she felt comfortable, he went into the water with her with a surfboard and explained to her how to catch a wave and what he was looking for in one. They were soon catching waves with Jeremy on the board with the little girl lying on front. Her whoops and wide grins were a joy to behold. By the end of the lesson, the little girl was catching waves w/ Jeremey's guidance but lying on the board on her own. Her mother was visibly relieved and delighted at her daughter's profound joy. As soon as we got out of the water, Mom wanted to know when Jeremy was returning to give her daughter another lesson! Jeremy followed up with repeat lessons and I've heard nothing but wonderful news from the mother and the little girl. You won't go wrong hiring him - I highly recommend him."
