"I have been doing ballet for over 20 years and I am currently employed as a professional dancer. Despite all the options available in the NYC area, I travel specially to Seacliff to study with Ms. Irina at LI Ballet Academy and Dance and wanted to add my experiences here for anyone looking for quality ballet training. Ms Irina, the Director of LI Ballet Academy and Dance, has a special gift for teaching and a passion for ballet that is inspiring. The most important part of any training is trust and I feel that I can trust Ms. Irina as a teacher completely, for her knowledge of the classical repertoire, her style, her musicality, and her ability to see each individual’s potential for improvement. This is a school that teaches the best foundation for the dancer, correct placement of the body and coordination that will help a student perform any choreography in the future. Ms. Irina is incredibly kind and wonderful with the kids. Everyone is treated with respect regardless of their professional goals. The studio at LI Ballet Academy and Dance is a large, column free space, and it is beautifully maintained. It is a pleasure to dance there. The studio is equipped with the best quality floors, properly sprung and treated to prevent slipping, which is so important for dancing safely. "Not so easy to see right off of Main Avenue and 14th Avenue in the Sea Cliff area of Glenn Cove New York. Downstairs in what appears to be a house on the corner. Small parking lot. Clean facilities. Public Restroom. Nice big room for training with high ceiling. Highly recommended for the serious Ballet Student."
