"We called and a very unfriendly lady answered who said this is their private home and they do this because people asked them to serve the community. So no intention of being a welcoming business. I just wanted to book a lesson but she didn't even let me ask for the prices. She was so unfriendly from the beginning that made me feel we wouldn't have a pleasant experience. It doesn't seem they like catering to tourists. perhaps they only want to serve the local community, which would be fine, but it would be better if they disclose it on the website rather than wasting people's time and their time."

"My husband made reservations for my daughter's 8th birthday. We live about 3 hours away. So I called to get an address so I can put in my GPS. Was answered by a hello no farm name or anything like that. I asked if this was were they did horse back riding, she wouldn't answer the question and demanded I identified myself. I explained we were on our way. And but needed an address to put on gps. She confirmed the reservation but still refused to give me an address as she said it was private property. I don't know if she was drunk or what? she kept rudely interrupting me and told me she would give me an address when were closer. Seriously? We ended up not going there. But Wow!! what a lunatic."

"We, granddaughter and I had a great ride. They pushed the point not to bring my phone. Not to loose it in the ride. They took pictures all the way through. It was a nice ride. BUT NO PICTURES. This was a new adventure for us. Something she wanted to do. I have nothing to share with our family. It wasn’t that good. It was a nice walk. ☹️"

"What a great time! I have been going to the Ashokan Riding Club for many years now and I will be returning for many more. First of all, the club is owned by two expert riders. Umberto and Elene have been working with horses for many years and are incredibly pleasant to speak with. After being placed on a horse in a historic stable, you are brought through picturesque trails with original stone walls and plenty of wildlife. For new riders of all ages, this is a perfect way to experience horseback riding! Lessons are conducted safely, and return riders are able to expand on their skill. I have brought many friends here in the past and I recommend the Ashokan Riding Club to anyone curious about how we used to make it from point A to B."

"We all had a very poor experience with this "riding club" , if that's what you wanted to call it. Elene did not even teach my stepdaughter the proper way to ride. She and her husband we fighting in front of my toddler and 9 year old and didn't even have them ride the full hour! I paid 50$ per hour for both kids and they kept stopping to talk as well! They did not seem experienced at all and you could tell by the look of the house and property that the business was piss poor! I highly suggest not going!"
