"I joined East Wave Dojo a little over a year ago and really enjoy learning from Sensei Mike. He is extremely knowledgeable and keep the classes interesting by mixing up what we do in every class. Each class consist of warm up, basic drills (punches/kicks), floor exercises, kata (forms), and some type of bag training or sparring. Challenging but definitely suitable for all levels."
"I have been studying with Sensei Polito for a little over a year. He is a ver knowledgeable, patient and caring teacher who encourages all students to learn at their own pace. I came to karate late in life (I am over 50) and the pace is challenging but I’m always encouraged to push just a little bit more and it is quite satisfying. I highly recommend checking out the Japanese Swordsmanship class on Mondays as well."
