About the Business
Honey Dew Acres, L.L.C. is a family-operated equestrian facility located at 169 Post Road in Canton, New York. We offer a range of services including lessons, boarding, and training for horses. Our motto is "Fun, Friendship, and Safety" and we strive to create a healthy and happy environment for both our horses and riders.
At Honey Dew Acres, we cater to riders of all skill levels and interests, and we encourage independence, problem-solving, responsibility, and teamwork. Our focus is on providing a solid foundation in riding basics, understanding horse behavior, and teaching proper horse care both on and off the saddle.
Owned and operated by the Cambridge family, our facility sits on 200 acres in Northern New York and houses a variety of lesson and competition horses. We offer training in disciplines such as eventing, hunters/jumpers, dressage, western, side-saddle, and driving. We believe that good riding transcends disciplines, so we emphasize a balanced position and encourage our students to explore different styles of riding.
Conveniently located near SUNY Canton, SUNY Potsdam, Clarkson, and St. Lawrence universities, Honey Dew Acres is just a short drive away from the Canadian border. Surrounded by the Adirondack Mountains and the picturesque St. Lawrence River, our location offers a beautiful backdrop for horseback riding and training.

"Fell off the horse but had a great time. Thanks again! - Doc Gumby"
"Wanted my daughter to get into horse back riding but wasn't sure if she would be scared of the horse at her age. Emily was so amazing with my daughter and showed her everything around the farm then introduced her to the horse she would be riding. That set a great atmosphere for my daughter and made her relax and she wasn't scared after that. My daughter loved Emily and cried when she had to get off the horse so we signed up for lessons. Emily was patient, kind, and set a tone that a 3 year old felt right at home with. Highly recommend them .."
"Great place for you and your horse. Plenty of room and an unpretentious atmosphere for show jumping and dressage. Enjoyed our stay greatly."
