"Even though I was 10 mins late to my appointment the staff was still very welcoming and explained my services would be cut for this and I was ok with that because I do realize I was late for my appointment. The message ended a tad earlier than 10 mins but I still didn’t let that bother me because my therapist was amazing! And for that I would have rated this establishment a full 5 stars. The reason why I am rating this location 1 star is because when I reached out to the establishment inquiring about an extra 40$ charge I saw on my card. The receptionist Giselle informed me it was for a cancellation fee for a “guest of mine” who did not attend their facial appointment. ???? I booked my appointment alone. I arrived alone. Also paid for my services at the first desk ALONE! How is it legal to not only charge someone’s ( or person A card) based off of what someone else (person B) told you OVER THE PHONE…. but to go as far as ADDING PERSON A’s card to person B’s profile WITHOUT ANY AUTHORIZATION FROM PERSON A is just insane to me! Person B never had my card information to give to you. And no where in person A profile did they put they were paying for a guest or responsible for another person. How can you charge someone for someone else's services/cancellation fees because you assumed they are acquaintances?? No professional establishment would make these types of mistakes, then make it hard for the client to be issued a refund. I didn’t even get a “sorry for the inconvenience”! I would never in my life return to this Hand and Stone massage and facial spa! Definitely dodged a bullet by declining their membership."

"I can see why this place has so many bad reviews now, I wanted to give benefit of doubt and still try them out for myself but left with a little bad taste in my mouth. When I was looking online on their website and called to make appointments for massage and facial for 2 people, I booked what was advertised online and confirmed it on the phone even. Swedish Massage and Classic Facial for 1 hour. My massage was cut short by 5 minutes which is fine, it’s just 5 minutes but then when it was time for my facial. We started at 7:15pm and she finished me at 7:50pm. I asked why is it cut short for? The reply was the facial is only for 50 minutes which in this case it was for 35 minutes. The place was closing up at 8pm but even so when I was making the appointments for 6 pm, I confirmed that it won’t be rushed and will be for the full hour for the services which the reply was yes. During massages they like to “upsell” you for added on services which to me is tacky because just do what I already booked and confirmed for. Won’t be coming back here again. Seems like they lie to get you in and then front desk says no services are only for 50 minutes."

"I’ve been going to Cristalia for facials for three months now and she gives amazing facials! I looking forward to my appointment every month. She’s given me tips to improve my skin care, and gives a great facial massage. Highly recommend booking your next service with her!"

"I am extremely disappointed with the customer care/ cancellation policy at the Hand and Stone in Edgewater, NJ. I had to cancel a massage appointment last week and then again today because I tested positive for Covid. Last week, the cancellation fee was waived. This week, I was informed that because the fee was waived last week, they couldn’t waive the fee this week. Several times during the conversation, I asked to speak to a manager; however, the receptionist talked over me and ignored my request. Going forward, I will not use Hand and Stone or recommend to my friends. I was cancelling the appointment out of consideration to the staff and other clients."

"Service was very friendly, swift and ready to accommodate you. The center was very clean, inviting and with a wonderful display of all the products that they carry for your wellness.They also offer Trigger point therapy along with other therapeutic options. I’m glad I started this process, I can already del improvement in my motion and sleep. Nilda was excellent and really strong as it’s what I needed. Looking forward to how much better I feel in just a few months."
