"Never had an issue in my new Paltz Walgreen . Nice store nice folks ."
"Quite possibly the rudest pharmacists I’ve ever had the misfortune of having to deal with. Called with questions about my sons prescription that they initially said they were out of and to “come back” only to find out that it’s been on back order for months. Refused to spell out the script so I could have Diedricks fill it. What a bunch of incompetent & rude people. Do not use this Walgreens. Pathetic"
"I was nervous about my first experience with Walgreens after reading the reviews here. I have been going to Rite Aid for my prescriptions for numerous years without issue. Today I picked up a few antibiotics that I needed for an emergency health issue. This was my first time with the store being Walgreens. I called ahead to see when it would be ready and I didn’t have to wait long at all for my call to be answered. The man I spoke to spent time with me on the phone to make sure everything was good. When I picked up my drugs today, the pharmacist was a slim gentleman with black hair and glasses. He was so kind and knowledgeable and made sure to educate me about my medications and what I can do to lessen the side effects. My medication prices at Walgreens today were even less than when it was Rite Aid. I paid less than $4 for two antibiotics that would have been almost $100. I didn’t even need to give them my insurance card or anything as all my info was still there. Other slandering reviews rave about Dedricks, which is nice as it’s a small business, but my medications there in the past cost me 3-4x more than Rite Aid. I am thrilled with the new pharmacy and the pharmacist and the personal care he gave me during my visit and on the phone. This is a large chain establishment but the pharmacist is warm, helpful, smart, and caring. No reason why people should be complaining about this switch unless it had something to do with their own insurance."
"What a shame. I have never had any issues with filling prescriptions until rite aid switched over to Walgreens. Phones never answered and will be on hold for about 25 min. VERY rude and unprofessional pharmacy techs that yes, argue with clients. Pharmacist and techs very disorganized. Tried to decline a refill on something that was NOT a controlled substance stating it was too early. I hope they take reviews into consideration and hire more competent staff."
"The pharmacy is absolutely horrible and treats people as if the don't have any brain cells. They don't answer their phones, and just expect you to pay hundreds of dollars for prescriptions without explaining why. I didn't have to pay for my prescription the past month, and was just told that I had to dish out $60 this month. When I asked why, the pharmacist looked me in the eyes and just said "that's how it is". They don't treat the college students in town nicely, and expect them to be loaded."
