"If you're looking for a new podiatrist, Dr. Gmerek is phenomenal. His knowledge and professionalism is immense, but he never allows that to get in the way of how he treats his patients. Every visit is informative, with each issue I've had being explained to me in a way that I understand. His empathy and ability to read the room are huge bonuses for me. However, what impressed me most is the fact that he does the in office procedures—and he does them *very* well. Four years back I got an ingrown nail removed at the root of my big toe. In short, it was an awful experience that took months to heal and hurt enough for me to put off doing it again for years. A month ago, I got the same procedure done on my other big toe by Dr. Gmerek. Despite the ingrown nail being worse than the first, I had absolutely no pain from the moment the procedure started. I was provided with clear recovery instructions, prescribed antibiotics to prevent infection and had a follow-up appointment that didn't require me to be in the office. Recovery only took about 3 weeks, and I didn't ache at all throughout. Even now I'm still so impressed about it that 5-stars doesn't seem like enough. So again, if you're looking for a new Podiatrist, Dr. Gmerek is the way to go."

"OK Y'ALL!!!! Picture this, 15 years of single parenting can really put self care on the back burner. I have made excuse after excuse to avoid going to get my toe looked at. Even after the years of pain, the level of procrastination on my part was soon to be over. The time has come, and I must face the music. I went to The Foot Doctor. Dr. Gmerek and his staff calmed my anxiety before my procedure, and laughed at my terrible jokes! I could not believe how gentile and painless it was! The doctor & staff have an amazing bedside manor. This does not exist much these days. It was refreshing to have the opportunity to experience what quality care should be everywhere! I highly recommend going to The Foot Doctor for any issues you may have. I felt really ridiculous after we were finished about all the carrying on I did. "I would love to give this review 5 STARS because Dr, G helped to ease my anxiety and I had the procedure done. Unfortunately the part that was heartbreaking was that the receptionist ( blonde lady, later I learned was his wife ) at very 1st contact was VERY rude. I was early and was just going to wait ( it’s our lunch hour, come back/ ok can you give me the intake forms ). After they unlocked the door from lunch I went in to return the forms & asked if she wanted to copy my medical cards & my meds list ( I’m trying to prepare for patients who are coming in later but ugh I guess so ) she took my medical cards but not my meds list ( later she did copy my meds list ). I said if there is a cancellation I’ll be in the hallway sitting. Appointments ran late and they are short staffed but there is no reason to have a tone with people…I truly thought this woman is a B**** later on We had the opportunity to talk and she’s definitely not a B**** & Dr G was super nice and handsome too lol. Dr G put a smiley face on my bandage and I even called him to clarify after care instructions and he made himself available. SO yeah definitely 5 Stars..,We all have bad days and bad moments and I was just caught in the crossfire of the moment. Thanks everyone for everything that you are doing to help me"

"Dr. Gmerek took great care of my son at his first appointment. He was professional, knowledgeable, fun, and explained everything in a way that was easy for us to understand. We had an amazing experience! The office was exceptionally clean and the staff was accommodating, friendly, and professional. I will be sure to refer patients to The Foot Doctor!"

"Normally I just seek referrals for any medical issues, but recently an ingrown toenail just kinda developed on its own and I wasn't able to (and kind of didn’t want to) go see my primary care physician due to COVID-19. I'd been hiking a lot in recent weeks since it's one of the few activities we can still do, and I think that's what brought on the ingrown nail. I probably waited longer than I should have to get treatment. Anyway, I took it upon myself to just Google ingrown toenails Rochester NY and I found Dr. Gmerek. It also helped a lot that they had a location on Jefferson Road near my work in Henrietta. The intake was great -- I didn't spend any time on hold and they had good availability. They also offered me appointment times at their two other locations, which added flexibility, if needed. But I was able to get into the Henrietta location in just a few days, which was reassuring since the toenail was a constant source of nagging foot pain. Dr. Gmerek was great -- totally down to earth and super professional. He walked (pun intended) me through the steps involved with surgery and answered all of my questions in layman's terms that were very helpful. Since surgery, It's been going great and my pain is totally gone. Gladly the recovery is 100% in my case. I'll probably edit the review if something dramatically changes, but I feel great and I'm comfortable giving 5 stars at this juncture. The review is running kind of long but I wanted to also say that the staff was great and friendly! You can really feel that it's a family business (yes, there are some left in the world) and it was a breath of really fresh air. Sometimes in medical offices the receptionists give you the tone that they're "doing you a favor" just by checking you in and giving you the time of day. Totally the opposite at Dr. Ronald Gmerek's office. My foot might have been in pain when I walked in, but their staff still put a smile on my face with their professionalism and warmth.
