"Have been a patient for 10 years and they still don't know who I am. Have had same doctor for 3 years and she never remembers me, just a number at this place. Every year we need physicals to be re-certified as foster/adoptive parents, and for the past two years this Doctor has completed the forms with no problem. This year she didn't fill them out properly, even though we again stressed the importance of this, and now I can't even get ahold of her. We are leaving the practice. After seeing the same doctor for three years they should at least have a rough idea about you."
"I love Dr Ver. He is a great doctor. Everything else about this office is terrible. I recently came in for an appointment with my doctor. He had an emergency and could not make it in but no-one bothered to let me know. I would have rescheduled. I saw a nurse practitioner instead who was too busy to spend any time with me. In less then 10 minutes I was told that if I had any more questions I would need to make another appointment. In the time we argued about it my simple question could have easily been answered. I asked to speak to the office manager but she was unavailable. The receptionist said that the office manager would call me. She never did. I left several messages to return my call and it never was. I had to return to finish my appointment and spoke to someone about these issues again. I was told the office manager would call me. Again, no call. I have now been charged for two office visits when it should have been taken care of with one. Nothing was resolved at the first appointment. Dr Ver even had to reorder my prescriptions because they weren't called in correctly after the first appointment. No one in the office can address my concerns except the manager, and she won't return my calls. I have been going to this office for over 25 years and its always something. The doctors constantly change. If not for Dr Ver I would never go back to place. Dr Ver cares about his patients. No-one else here does that I have encountered."
"Lifetime health has been a awful experience this week! Dr.C left I call for a appointment. The new Dr. would not take me because of my insurance! We been on this insurance for two years we had no problems with Dr.C! I have a serious problem would not be seen ! Very very disappointed!!!! We been with Lifetime health for 20 years. Get your act together not very professional!! Where are your concerns for your patience. No ratings from me its all minus."
"This is the worst medical practice. I am disabled and needed some forms filled out. I do like Dr. Cohen, but you would have an easier time getting an appointment with the President than to get a message to him or his assistant Pat. The front desk is rude, I left a message and the would not read it back to me to make sure the details were correct. After you typically wait and least 5 mts but usually long for someone to get on the phone that you are left with rude and unresponsive personnel. I tried through social media contact to get a response.....or asking for the office manager....nothing they just simply do not get back to you. Finally, after the 10th call my daughter made in a 2 week span, she said that she would come into the waiting room and wait there in the office instead on on the phone for a call back. (They said that wouldn't make it an quicker but they did respond back after that promise was made to come and sit in the waiting room instead of a phone call back)BTW, all I needed to know was if a certain fax got into the doctor's hands.....that was it! Avoid this place at all costs!!!! Find a doctor's office that will be responsive!"
"I too have noticed a high degree of turnover at this facility, however this seems to be a trend everywhere with general practice. I came to this facility a year ago because my previous doctor whom I was with for 6 years closed her family practice in order to move to urgent care where apparently the revenue is better. At Perinton Health Center I have been assigned no less than 3 doctors in that time due to turnover, one of which (the 2nd) I never even got to see before he also left this facility. Makes one wonder what environment the doctors here are subjected to. I just had my first visit with the 3rd doctor and it went ok except I did sense him wanting to leave before I had really covered all my issues (he stood and moved to the door before I even stopped talking). When I talk to other people involved in this profession I am told this is a consequence of how insurance payments are structured and limited to a fixed amount per visit. In order to increase revenue, doctors have to increase the number of patients they see each day, and also basically overbook (just like airlines do to keep seats full) in order to avoid any open periods during the day (= no income during open periods). Wonder why you are often seen late? It is because of this latter issue. The doctors will blame the insurance companies, and the insurance companies say they are operating within the law.. which is disingenuous because Insurance companies basically ghost write those laws. Insurance is about the biggest lobby out there and they have all the politicians in their pocket. If you want continuity you basically either need to abandon insurance and pay out of pocket for everything so you can see a doctor not beholden to the insurance model, or get ready for the revolving door of a new doctor once or twice a year as all the doctors out there scramble and change venues trying to figure out how to keep up their income."
