"UPDATE: I received a call today from Nichole Ditch regarding the following situation. I was impressed that Nikki took the time to reach out to me. I have since made other arrangements but appreciated the fact the primary therapist of this group took the time to call, address my concerns and offer to see me should I wish to return to the practice. My primary care physician recommended I go for some therapy for depression; I have had counseling in the past. Nikki returned my call and we had a discussion, she indicated she was not seeing new patients but had two people working with her who were taking patients. I met with one of these people twice and, at the last visit, told her I thought I was all set and would not have to see her again. To me, this does not seem out of the ordinary for someone who is depressed and/or in therapy for emotional issues and it should be more or less understood that moods go up and down with this disease. This therapist, Meg, indicated she would close my case. It was explained to me that when a case is closed, the therapist cannot see you for another 60 days - this seemed very odd to me. Regardless, LESS THAN TWO WEEKS LATER, I called her very upset and told her I was not doing as well as I thought and felt I needed to see her again. She then proceeded to tell me again about the policy of not seeing me after the case was closed. I had not received the paperwork indicating my case was closed or the two invoices I had requested to submit for reimbursement to my insurance. I was so upset, I told her to forget it and hung up. Today I did receive the invoices and letter saying she was closing my case - the postmark on the envelope was this week, the same day I had called needing help again! All I can think is it's a good thing I was not "in crisis" sitting here ready to slit my wrists or swallow a handful of pills! I'd never go back to or recommend this practice."
