Reviews of R&B Medical Group
"I wish I could give this place zero stars. I was referred to Dr. Lippe and it was months before being able to see him so I decided to meet with his NP first. BAD IDEA. I have never felt so completely gaslit and dismissed by a provider as I did when I saw KAROL POHLMAN-REJMAN. First of all I filled out all the paperwork and had my latest bloodwork printed out for her. She came in the room and seemed annoyed right off the bat as I didn’t have a “diagnosis”-I explained to her my symptoms and why my primary had referred me. She said “well I don’t know what you think we can do for you” I explained to her that I was concerned about my thyroid and insulin resistance as that’s why my primary referred me. She at this point still hadn’t looked at my paperwork and was very off putting in her behavior and wouldn’t even look me in the eye. She asked me to get on the exam table and checked my reflexes. Literally that’s it. Then she said “ok well let me check all this out and get back to you in a few minutes.” She then took all the paperwork and left me in the room for about 15 minutes. When she came back she smelled terribly of onions. So basically she went and ate her lunch and then came back in to talk to me. She again said there wasn’t much she could do for me because my TSH was fine. I again said I was hoping to get more extensive testing as I know we need to look for optimal not “normal” labs. She then said “well your thyroid felt fine when I checked” I again said there’s a family history and these are my symptoms. She then audibly sighs and says well I guess we can also do autoimmune testing - to which I said great! Test me! Then she said “oh you also have MTHFR. You do know that puts you at risk for heart attack, stroke and blood clots, right?” I said actually I wasn’t aware of that as it hadn’t been explained to me only that I needed B vitamins. She then said “oh yea in my 30 years as an NP I’ve seen a lot of healthy people go down from that” WHO SAYS THAT?? By this point I’m aggravated and just want to get out of there so I said can you recommend a good B vitamin for that then? And she said “well the OTC ones are crap” so I asked her to prescribe me one. She said “oh your insurance won’t cover it” I said I’m willing to take my chances please send it. Then she told me my cholesterol was high (which I knew from my bloodwork) and she gave me a list of foods to eat and not eat to which I said I already made these changes and my cholesterol is still high. It also runs in my family so I am hoping for another solution as this didn’t help and I’m very active. She told me she could prescribe a low dose statin - and never did. Finally she looks at me and says “do you spend a lot of time on the woods? We can also test for LYMES disease” at this point I was done. The fact that she called it lyme’s disease was the final straw. My daughter has LYME disease I said so I actually know the symptoms and you can test but without an active infection it won’t show up on regular bloodwork but sure why not-I just wanted to be out of there. I thanked her for her time and she said “don’t be checking the lab results everyday-it takes time and you can come back in a month. But I don’t think we will find anything” I said well I’m willing to keep searching to find out the root cause of what’s going on and she said “well at some point you just have to accept that you’re a woman and this happens as you age.” I said well I don’t accept that because everyone deserves to feel better. And would you believe that the bloodwork came back showing that I actually do have an autoimmune disease? I was fortunate enough that I’d already been starting care with a hormone specialist who actually did test me correctly and guess what? I DO have hypothyroidism in addition to the autoimmune disorder that showed in Karol’s bloodwork. But thankfully my new NP is taking care of me and actually listens and has a plan. Bottom line-avoid this woman. I can’t speak to the rest of the practice but I won’t be going back to find out."
"Went there as a new patient and the office would not fill a new prescription nor refill my old prescription. They ignored my calls-- not once got a return call and had to reach out to another doctor to get my blood pressure medication filled. Not a safe place to go when you have serious medical conditions."
"If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible place. Horrible staff that holds on to racist ideologies. Supports genocide and made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable."
"Office staff is easy to reach and always polite. Portal works great and response time is within 24 hours. Dr. O’Donnell is a caring and understanding physician. She is knowledgeable and thorough with her patients concerns. Never rushes a visit. I highly recommend. Have been a patient for 10+ years."
"Dr. Hall and his staff are very friendly and professional. I have never had any issues setting up appointments or getting my prescriptions. Sadly though, when it comes to the wait times at the office. The wait times can be extremely long. In all I am a satisfied patient. I will be back in a year for my next annual checkup."
