Assisting Angels Senior Care

"Do NOT call this company. They are very unprofessional & unethical. I called this organization to request a quote. I told Todd I needed someone to start in two weeks on a Monday. He gave me the quote and told me that his agency requires a two week commitment. I told him if I went with his agency I would agree to those terms. A week later his scheduler called to see if we still needed someone. I told her we didn't need someone for the morning; only 3-4 hours in the evenings. She said she would make a note. No one for the agency ever confirmed if they had anyone available so I hired a different agency. So I was surprised when I recieved a call 36 hours before the target start date. He called at 6:30pm Saturday night and left a nasty voicemail message saying he was going t bill me for two weeks of service because he had a caregiver on hold who couldn't take other cases because she was committed to us. I never told him I was or wasn't going to use his agency so I have no idea what prompted this phone call. I called back and left a voicemail letting him know he must have the wrong person. I never had an agreement with agency and he shouldn't send me a bill. He texted back :bill is forthcoming" Now on top of the stress of dealing with elderly parents, I am being forced to deal with this nasty unethical person and possible legal situation. I strongly recommend you avoid this agency."

"If you need reliable care, look elsewhere. From the moment we hired this company, we have had aides cancel at last minute or not show up. I don’t know if it’s a scheduling or communication problem or quality of personnel but we have had to continually cancel our own appointments when they don’t show. Luckily, there are other agencies out there so call elsewhere."

"We have been using assisting angles for the the last 18 months and it has been by far been such a wonderful experience. Val was our assisting angel. She was so amazing always attended to my Dads needs and he could be very difficult. At a time when we could not be there for him she filled in as a family member. Val would even help out on last minute phone call if she was able to help us. My Dad passed away last night but he never alone at night till the virus hit and we were not able to visit him. "It has taken me many months to write this review. What a disappointing experience. I called Assisting Angels to ask for someone to act as a companion for my disabled brother. They took all the information & quickly responded stating someone would be out within 2 days. I was so grateful & excited with the quick response. The woman they sent was well aware of my brother's issues (urinary incontinence) & mild dementia with difficulty walking. She arrived & seemed nice. The following day I called the agency to see when she would be able to return. I was informed she did not want the case! The person I spoke to said "didn't my boss call you"? I replied I hadn't heard from anyone & was shocked that the person they sent wasn't interested in the case. She said "she doesn't want to deal with the incontinence problem". I was then told her boss would contact me. I never heard from anyone again from the agency about sending another companion, but you better believe I received a bill post haste. The promises & breakdown of communication was inexcusable. I would not recommend this agency."

"Todd the owner is dishonest. He preys on people in need. Dubious company inept uncaring staff. Avoid this clip joint at all costs!! He will run right out for your advanced payment, no contract no refunds if you don't need the services for the entire advanced payment period. My wife gave them $1868.75 for one weeks services. Four days later her mother goes into Hospice and Todd the owner refuses to refund the three days or unused services. Talk about kicking someone when they are down."
